Congrats Logan on the hard earned victory. The Chieftains are not there yet, but they are playing with a lot more confidence.

Logan needed this win. A lot of times they would have choked at the end.

Best win of the Eddy era (not many to choose from, sure, but it was big).

You can see what the staff want this team to look like. Blue collar. Tough. Hard nosed. They really controlled the line of scrimmage on Friday.

WAY too many mistakes. Clean those up and Logan wins this game comfortable.

Logan started the game with a few starters out. Left tackle made his first start and played every snap on offense. A few guys got dinged up during the game.

Young guys stepped up. Just a great win for the program. Go Chiefs!
Great to see Logan get this win. I'd love to see the Chiefs return to the days of dominance. When did Logan really fall off? Was it after Pat Angle? They were consistently good from say 1999 to ?? I'm curious what factors have caused them not to be able to put it back together.

Angle and his class graduated in 2010, so their last season was 2009. Head coach Dale Amyx (1990-2009) also ended his 20 year run with that group, so definitely a drop off since then.

Between 1998 and 2009 Logan won 10 SEOAL titles in 12 years and made 7 playoff appearances. They also had 4 undefeated teams in that stretch.

There was definitely a talent drop off. Logan is on their 3rd head coach in 13 years. And the schedule has gotten increasingly more difficult following the dissolution of the SEOAL.

Logan won their last SEOAL title in 2013 and finished 8-2 in 2015 for high water marks post-Amyx. They were 6-4, 6-4, and 8-2 under Billy Burke in his first three seasons, but fell off to 3-7 and 1-9 in his final two years.

No easy answers and not easy to re-climb that mountain.

Logan isn't a bad team. Definitely taken steps forward and stock is going up. Congratulations on the victory.

Biggest win in the Eddy era for sure. Beating a team in the same region as well; always positive for the program. I have said this from week 1; these kids play hard and have passion for the game. All i heard all week from the media up here was the kid from St Charles going to Pitt and their big offensive line and 3 headed monster at RB. Chiefs played well enough to win the game going away had they eliminated some mistakes. Huge boost to stop the 2 point conversion but mercy hang on to the ball!!! :D

Logan now goes north to play Buckeye Valley and I dont think anyone has any idea what to expect yet. From what I have read, it looks like they mix the pass and run with a slight advantage to the pass last week vs Grandview.
