Good luck Zane Trace in your 2nd Rd. matchup with Madeira.

This is going to be a tough one for ZT to pull off, Madeira played Cin. Wyoming closer than anyone this year playing at home is going to be huge for ZT. Hoping ZT can pull this one off and if they do it'll be close but I won't be surprised at all to see Madeira pull this one out.

Drew Pasteur has this one a basic toss-up. He has Madeira favored by 2 points. After watching Madeira on different videos, it should be a good game. The winner will probably play Germantown Valley View.

No shocker here, ZT best get it together or it’ll get ugly.

Madeira 28
Zane Trace 19

Madeira scored on all four possessions of the first half to take a 28-13 lead. The second half, ZT finally got a stop and scored to make it 28-19 early in the third quarter. The rest of the game Madeira had bad field position and Zane Trace had great field position but they shot themselves in the foot numerous times. Turned it over on downs, fumble on fourth and inches, penalties and two missed kicks on extra points. Madeira finally got a decent drive to end the game (helped by a ZT personal foul) as they ended it at about the 20 yard line. I think it may have been Madeira's only first downs in the second half.

Another key play in the game was a ZT turnover at midfield with about one minute left before half when it was 21-13. Madeira cashed in and scored their fourth TD of the half with :15 seconds left.

Bingo. That play at the end of the half was huge since ZT was driving a bit too, may have ran out of time, but should’ve only been down a score

ZT played extremely well in the 2nd half for about 90% of it, besides the couple dumb penalties and that fumble of 4th and inches. They had their chances.

Really good season overall.
