IHS on a trajectory to give R19 FITS.

Came out and unrolled the old coach Lutz playbook.

THEN went to a hybrid mix & did as they wished without penalties.

Passed & ran & therefore gave the West Def coach a ton to think about

Would love to see West get the W, but my gut is telling me 21-14 Ironton. Game will likely be played at Portsmouth.

My guess is West is going to watch film from the Burg-Ironton and Jackson-Ironton games because that was the two closest games Ironton had all year.

Ironton goes in thinking they are going to destroy West might be in for a rude awakening. Anyone remember what happened in this week for Ironton last year?? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

Yabba - I agree, West will watch film on Ironton. Great insight.

Last year, Ironton lost to Wheelersburg 17-14. Wheelersburg is a great program with excellent coaching, tradition, and community support. No shame in losing to them.

West doesn’t bring the tradition, but does bring the coaching and community support, with a hard nosed team to boot. If Ironton wins by 1, that would be awesome. Won’t be easy, but regional semifinals aren’t supposed to be easy.

People will talk about West losing the first game of the year, but teams change over the season as we saw last year when Burg knocked them off after getting blown out to start the year. Ironton has more talent but West is playing really well right now

Let them talk all they want. West should’ve honestly won that game. Fairland was a solid team but not the better team.

I think Ironton wins this game and I think it will be because they won’t be able to contain Perkins or the WR’s Ironton has. I think they’ll be fine in the run game.

If irontons offense plays like Waverly and puts up points they’ll win I think. If they come out and play like burg did they could lose. Will be a great game either way

West isn’t on Ironton or Burgs level of tradition, but we don’t lack it. It’s a proud football school that has had their share of success. Gonna play a bunch of hard nosed kids that are tight knit and have grown up playing together .

No doubt. Probably undersold West on that front. Not many teams in this part of the state have played for a state title.

I think this is a great matchup. Ironton should win, but West’s style of ball plays against anybody. They seem to be versatile enough to beat you more than one way on O. Can stop the run and force you to play one way. Ironton is probably a bad matchup in that Ironton wants to beat you through the air anyways.

Longer this one stays close, more the pressure goes on the Tigers. Good luck to West!

I’m sure he will be out to prove them wrong considering the Board of Education passed on him coaching at West, Which has obviously worked out in his favor.😏

We had a great win tonight and look forward to week 13.
Going to be a lot of athletes on the field once again.
