When was the last ones ? Tanner Wilson , Jake Gregg ?

Star players!!!! I had to LOL at that statement!!!

Were they not very good ?

Not to the point that if they don't come Burg doesn't still compete, unlike Ironton where you take away the guys they bring in they are mediocre.

Gregg did help but I believe Burg would have found a QB and he would have been fine.

Wilson was good, but definitely not a game changer.

All of this is JMO though!!!

I agree Ironton is attracting some excellent talent.

Burg needed Gregg. They had nobody else. Struggled the yr before at qb

Sounds like recruiting Gregg was a good move

Miller would have been the QB if Gregg didn’t transfer in. Miller would also have been the QB his junior year of not for the season ending injury.

Burgs offensive line is huge this year. Hopefully they play as big as they are.

They’re always big. But can they dominate teams like
Jackson , Ironton , and West.

Time will tell. But I’m talk different big. Other than the center, who’s stout too but shorter, but the guard and centers are going to be over 6 ft 3. And big.

Hopefully they pan out but they’re definitely going to be the biggest line burgs had for a long time, tackle to tackle

What about QB? Is the sophomore to be the favorite for the spot? And if so, assume Burg will be more pass oriented this year or still stay mostly run with the big line?

Yeah, it’s his spot for sure. Burg’s offense may struggle first few games with the tough schedule and new QB, but it should be a lot more balanced by playoffs.*

They will have to develop a #2 QB, right now, that's up in the air. Burg will probably look different offensively for sure

Burg will be just fine, I see them as the front runner for the SOC yet again. Is the sophomore quarterback focusing on football right now or is he doing the spring/summer AAU basketball circuit?

A grade 4 laceration of the spleen. Wonder why he couldn’t just walk that off?

Work begins next week on replacing the turf at Ed Miller Stadium! There is some equipment there now.
