kantucky: You're right about Ironton's appearances in the championship game.......this will be their 11th......to date, they are 2-8 in the previous 10. Regardless of their record, it's still a remarkable accomplishment. Ohsaa.org lists 13 trips to the Final 4 for IHS.

South Range by 2-3 TDs . Ironton will not match up well with all 11 SR players, most of which are D-II and III players. They will overwhelm your 2 D-I players. Skill level is also higher. SR has played a tougher schedule and are extremely well coached. The NEO team beats the SEO team. The 11 on 11 is a mismatch.

List the d2 & d3 SR recruits for us real quick if ya would. What D2 & D3 college programs recruited them? What positions?

I noticed South Range only beat a 7 - 5 team ( Struthers) by 10. Are they a 7 - 5 powerhouse? And then canton cent cath by around same margin and they are 7 - 5. Are these powerhouse teams in 2022?

Everybody is saying South Range by two scores. I hope the experts are saying those two scores are actually 9 points. (OSU +9) After this past weekend we know how two score favorites fair in the state of Ohio. Everybody continue to talk about how powerful South Range's offense is and how their QB is one of the best player in the state. (That sounds familiar) I will admit South Range's defense is much better than the defense we watch this past weekend BUT the formula is the same. Physicality ... Physicality ... Physicality .... until you get your chance! Then see what happens. Best of Luck Tigers!!

Good luck Tigers! Totally agree with runner up being not a failure. I was there in 83 and it sure felt like one tho at the time. If Ironton can control the penalties and play like they did in their last half played it can be done. Magic can happen!!

Pasteur does a great job but man, I just can't see Ironton being 15 point dogs here.

They absolutely have the talent to compete (and beat) anyone in D5, even the "favorite." The only way I can see them losing by double digits is if they turn the ball over 2-3 times.

I probably don't speak for everyone on the Kentucky side of the river, but I hope Ironton brings home a state championship Friday morning. Seeing Pendleton rebuild the Fighting Tigers program into a powerhouse again has been impressive. GO TIGERS!!!

I checked his predictions on who he favored to win State in D5 and he had South Range first Harvest Prep second and Valley View third. He had Ironton all the way down at ninth. Not too good if you ask me.

He has to be basing all this on the past tittle games and on last years playoff game.
Ironton has depth and talent to win it all this year and if they stick to the game plan limit mistakes they come out as champions
