30th Annual Danville Power-Lifting Meet Feb 18th

The 30th Annual Danville Power-Lifting Meet will be held on Saturday, February 18th at the Danville High School gym. Please note their will be no lifting aids permitted (bench shirts, lifting suits, wraps, etc..). Also, please instruct your lifters to bring their own chalk if they wish to use it.

Weigh-ins will be from 8:00-10:00 a.m. The competition will begin at 10:30 a.m. Cost per lifter will be $10. All checks can be made out to the Danville Football Boosters. A coaches meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m.

We will offer once again three male divisions: 7th & 8th grade, 9th & 10th grade, 11th & 12th grade and two female divisions. Medals will be awarded to the top three lifters in each weight class. Ribbons will be awarded for 4th -6th place. Team trophies will be awarded to the top seven teams for boys and the top five teams for girls. A concession stand will be available throughout the day. Meet t-shirts will also be on sale for $10.

If you are interested in attending the meet please or have any questions please contact us at anytime. This meet has been very competitive through the years as we generally have around 250-300 participants. Last year we had a strong showing after a down year during covid!

For: Athletes grades 7-12
Where: Danville High School Gymnasium
Weigh-ins: 8:00-10:00 A.M.
Competition: Begins at 10:30 A.M.
Male Classes: Lightweight: 125, 135, 145, 155
Middleweight: 165, 175, 185, 195
Heavyweight: 210, 225, 250, Unl.
Male Divisions: 7th & 8th grade,
9th & 10th grade,
11th & 12th grade
Female Classes: Lightweight: 115, 125, 135, 145
Middleweight: 155, 165, 175, Unl.
Female Divisions: 7th – 12th grade
Lifts: Three attempts at the
Bench, Squat, and Deadlift
Entry Fee: $10 per Lifter

Requirements: Signed permission slip by a guardian
Awards: 1st-3rd Medals,
4th-6th Ribbons,
Best Lifter Award each division.
Team Awards: Top 7 boys

Admission: $2 Students, $5 Adults
Concessions: We will have our
pancake/sausage breakfast.
Lunch concessions all day.
T-Shirts: Available for $10.

Are they gonna be required to squat low enough for they hemorrhoids to hit the floor or are they gonna allow them sissy half squats? Trying to decide if we want to bring our boys from Racine and Hannah or not.

No wonder I couldn’t find any Preparation H at any of the dollar stores in Meigs County. Time for Racines off-season. I even drove clear to Ratland. No butt cream anywhere.
