Im pretty sure that wont be happening (some players leaving ) , they arent exactly sad to see him go. Youll probably see more kids come out for football now that hes gone.

Yea that's a weird trend that has been happening around recently, or maybe it's been longer than I think. But Melvin Cunningham took the program to good heights and seemed to be building and now there's rumors of how the team was bailing on him and were pushing him out. Now this is strictly from internet message boards and you don't know the validity to it. Unless he was stepping over the line in ways that deserved him getting pushed out then of course. But there's been some good coaches that are getting pushed by the waste side. Sometimes you see communities use the success as a jumping off point and build a good athletic and school culture and other times you see school use recent success and it seems to turn everyone against each other and jockeying for influence and pampering.

I don't know Coach Cunnigham personally and have no dog in the fight. Im just generally perplexed by some of these things.

Indeed!!
Yes. Ironton football are the king of southeast oh right now. No question. But when are they going to get it done in Canton in week 15. They or any other team from seo almost 100 percent of the time lose in canton and more often than not get blown out and look like they don't belong there .

Never going to happen,NO team is going to win another state championship from southeastern Ohio ,just can compete with the Big city and private schools now that they are bringing in all the athletes to the top schools from all over.

You could build a team of southeastern Ohio kids from the entire southeast and still going to get clobbered in Canton.

Right now,the runner up is the championship 🏆

That experience of FINALS will pay pff & make them a threat. It’ll be hard to defeat the KirtLand region champs & MAC champ, but it can be done…

I had heard rumors the last few months about players and parents not being happy. Some good athletes quit on him etc. I just hate it for the kids. Hopefully they get a good coach. Im no Dragons fan either
