Thanks, brother.

Craig was a great man and Chieftain. We were all better for having known him.

Logan went down to Gallia and went 0-2 on the day losing 24-21 to Vinton County and then to Gallia. Logan used 3 different QBs on the day, as they begin the process of finding their signal caller for the season. Logan will be headed to Lancaster next Wednesday for another 7 v 7.

From what you saw, what were some of the promising highlights from the Chiefs? We going into the right direction with the OCC a year away?

I would never gage anything on one 7 v 7 ever. After 25 years of doing this I know better lol. Logan has some good young talent, but I dont think we will ever be ready for Pick Central. Ever. But we can compete for sure. This season will be a huge stepping stone for the program to get ready for 2024 imo.

How did the Chiefs fair against Galeville, Logangrad? 7 V 7?

Logan did much better during the 7 v 7 against Lancaster and Berne Union. Was very competitive with Lancaster and I would say probably won vs BU. The Rockets will be very young this year. Lancaster has a solid QB in Burke and his brother will play multiple spots. Logan will travel to Westfall on Saturday.

I saw some of the 7 on 7 at Lancaster.

Logan did not look out of place against the Gales. Logan did a nice job on both sides of the ball - not perfect - but very competitive. Considering the inexperience on the back end for Logan's defense, I thought they did a nice job.

I though all the quarterbacks had their moments. Should be a spirited competition.

Complete guess and total speculating post:

But with the expectation that alot of the freshmen on the roster, should and could see significant playing time, the need for a complete freshman schedule could seem unneeded.

Or they couldnt find enough opponents lol not sure

Glad to see the NY v Logan series is going to be started back up. Has Rusty ever lost to Logan?

Looks like it might be a long season for Logan.
A D6 N Y playing with a very short play book and playing 30 different players on D handles them pretty easily. Would put a running clock in them in a game if wanted.

Just curious how you assessed this when the scoring was 14-7 NY or 2-1 after the varsity portion? Logan didnt play great and NY would probably be favored in Vegas at Home vs Logan based on what they have coming back, and their QB is a stud, but that score would be hard for anyone to think a running clock was coming "if wanted" ?

Logan will wrap up week 2 with a "scrimmage" vs Point Pleasant Friday night at home. 7pm start. Local media had this as a Jamboree Game and its not. Juts a scrimmage with free admission.
