JG graduated 5 last season and according to the media, return 27 letterman. They should have a solid running game with #27 being their workhorse carrying the ball nearly 300 times over the past two seasons. The big question marks are the pass O and pass D. Typically JG has good run defense but sketchy pass coverage.
As for the Tigers, they seem to be moving their program in a positive direction so this could be a decent game.

Last year was a down year for JG with only 5 seniors, they had made the playoffs the previous 5 seasons including a Regional Title in 2017. Many of the Seniors, and Juniors have played valuable the last two seasons due to injury (37 JR/SR and 27 Letterman). Like Bluroon said the big questions marks are the pass o/d. JG’s QB position isn’t decided at this point but both are capable passers, they just have to limit TO’s. Probably the biggest weak spot is the WR position (lost their leading receiver who accounted for over half of their receptions last year). Biggest strength will be the linebacker position. According to the media here are the probable starters/key players:

Offense
QB Winland SR or Johnson JR
RB Gilcher JR 854 yds 69 att 9 td’s
WR SR: Shade, Thompson, Wentland, Larrick, Hall JR: Glaub, Fox
LT Mathers JR 3yr starter
LG Scheffler SR 4 yr starter
C Zemba JR
RG Stallard JR
RT Demattio JR
Defense
DE Xanders SR
DT Whiteman JR
DE Altier SO
LB Bendle SR 4 year starter Injured Last Year
LB Barnhouse SR 81 tackles 10 TFL
LB Smith SR 63 tackles 6 TFL 4 sacks
LB Sensabaugh SR 77 tackles
CB Winland SR
CB Johnson JR
S Glaub JR
S Wise JR
