Re: Week 5: Meigs @ River Valley
I hate the news about RV having so many injuries and I applaud the young men that continue to show up each week and fight. Meigs wins but I hope RV keeps it close enough to not throw up their hands.

Before the season started I heard somewhere RV had 36 out for football and 22 of them were freshmen or first year players.

Imagine how rough it’s going to get for this football program if/when RV approves soccer.
So we’re looking at firing the current head coach, right? Then what, begging the SG coach to switch over to RV?

They have soccer at the middle school this year as a club sport. I think that puts the nail in the coffin for the future of RVHS football. Unless they can get a coach to light the fire in kids about playing, but that's hard to do with loosing streaks years long.sandstorm23 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 16, 2023 9:00 am Imagine how rough it’s going to get for this football program if/when RV approves soccer.

RV’s best hope is to pull the SG coach over. I think his name is Bryce Marrow or something like that (sorry if that’s incorrect). The other best option is to get Sparling back, but not sure if that’s possible.
Is the junior high/youth programs doing okay? Any promising athletes that can turn this thing around?
