Oh boy. No they couldn’t.
 No it wouldn't. There is a big difference in physicality between freshman and juniors/seniors, heck even sophomores. Rock hill would vastly control the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball.
And there's probably an even bigger difference in talent between Ironton and Rock Hill. Ironton JV or Freshmen would probably beat Rock Hill by 14.

We'll get to see for ourselves though, because it'll probably be a running clock to start the second half and I doubt Ironton starters see more than a quarter and a half. At most, a drive during the third.

I have seen Ironton jv play burg jv team, neither one of those teams would handle rock hill varstity. They could win but it would be by a small margin, as far as true freshmen keeping it close with rock hill varsity is a skewed observation.

It's a massive talent difference between Ironton and RH. No disrespect intended, but varsity vs varsity would be like Chillicothe playing Archbishop Hoban. I have to imagine IHS JV would handle RH Varsity.

There is a gap in talent for varsity but We are talking about D5 freshman going against a varsity football team. Sorry they don't win and it's not close.

With what? Those 300+ out of shape linemen? We will see how good they do against the jv squad early in the 3rd quarter. This is going to be a absolute blowout!

This has always bother me why can’t Rock Hill get these big linemen in shape. They always have some good looking kids but by the second half they seem spent.

You keep going back to the jv comment

The original argument was the freshman could win or keep it close. I mean east tartans varsity would hammer Ironton freshman.

Agree on Burg JV , but I believe Ironton would win by 14

Of course there's a big difference in talent between the schools. Ironton recruits, ALL the other OVC teams don't. I don't blame kids for transferring to ironton, to play football, but when you recruit, it's going to make a difference in talent.

Both Coaches agreed to a 6 minute 4th QTR with a running clock. Good sportsmanship by both teams tonight. Prayers for the Rock Hill player that was injured.

What's going on at the Hill? Is it the coaching? Or is the talent pool very shallow?

Any word on how serious the injury to the young man was?

He's going to be ok. They say he got a "stinger", but got all the feelings back in his arms and legs.

Ironton is just leaps and bounds better and more talented and we’re going to win that game very decisively and could have won by whatever they wanted either way.

However, Rock Hill was very depleted last night and had a lot of very young kids having to step and play that honestly shouldn’t have had to be out there yet.
