Eastern over Belpre by a pretty large margin.

Eastern has clinched a top 8 spot in Divison 7 Region 27, which means a home first round game and they are an odds on favorite to win out vs Belpre and Southern which would given them a top 4 finish and 2 first round home games if I am not mistaken.

This has all the makings of a running clock in the 2nd half but if Belpre can keep the game from getting out of hand then Eastern could get much needed Friday night reps for next years players (I don't know if or how many JV games Eastern got in this year) and maybe keep their starters healthy for a deep playoff run. Belpre was able to keep it close last year 41-13.

Here is hoping for a closer game than usual for Belpre AND an injury free game for both teams, especially Eastern as they prepare for week 11 and beyond.

Good luck and good health to both teams.

As always...

LETS GO BELPRE!!!

Every week the answer seems to be by how much the opposing coach wants to win by. Hope Belpre can turn it around in the years to come.

Another rough week for the Golden Eagles, but they have Clay-Battelle next week which will be their best shot at a win this season. Good luck Belpre!

Congratulations to the Eastern Boys, you should beat Southern next week and get at least 1 game at home and maybe 2 in the playoffs.

But I do have 1 question...

With the number of boys on the team, nearly 35, why isn't the coaching staff playing a JV schedule? I asked some Eastern folks last night how their JV team was doing this year and they said that every JV game has been canceled. What's up with that?

I also want to congratulate the Belpre boys because even if it wasn't reflected in the score last night, it was your best 4 quarters of football all year.
