Portsmouth has to lead the state in delay of games or delay of game situations. I think we threw zero passes the first half. And personal fouls and fumbles have killed us

I had hope lol. Portsmouth = "Can't do right."
LOL!!

If Portsmouth could ever get discipline into their program… they obviously have the athletes and talent. Just look at how well they’ve played against Ironton over the years despite their sloppiness.
End of half perfect example. Come out of timeout and not have FG team ready
Portsmouth with 7 personal fouls!

They beat a decent Fairland team. Burg will make a lot of teams look bad. But 9 personal fouls is a bit crazy

Yeah, this unfortunately just another reason why the series doesn’t need started back up on Burg’s end.*

The game plan for burg was executed great. They knew we would run every play and stopped it 99% of the time. Portsmouth was in complete meltdown mode. 9 personal fouls. I’m pretty sure they had more of those then first downs. The timeouts being burnt early to keep from a delay of game is a weekly thing. Maybe next year they will throw in some pass plays. It looks like they run the same 3 plays over and over. But it was fun to see burg and Portsmouth again. The last 2 times ive watched these games at wheelersburg the combine score is 79-0 in favor of burg. 45-0 in 2016 and 34-0 tonight. Good luck burg

Heard Portsmouth was young. Number 13 Pendleton is a dude. He had to of had 20 tackles

Congrats to Burg for the dominating win. They are a great team, and Portsmouth didn’t help themselves with the silly penalties and bad play calling. I know it’s a rivalry or was at one time. But you gotta keep your emotions in check. Burg has been there, they knew how to act, Portsmouth did not. Beating a dead horse but like I’ve said all year play calling was once again bad. Would like to shout out the Burg kicker, very impressed with him and his leg. Good news for the Trojans is a young team that wasn’t expected to be very good was solid. Lots to work with for next season, need to find some sort of passing game, and work on the secondary. Hoping for another Burg-Ironton game in a few weeks. Wonder if that game would possibly be at Portsmouth again? Go Trojans!

Nice job Pirates! Great team win tonight. Like Coach Clifford said on the radio, defense wins championships and Burg has one of the best defenses he has seen in awhile. Burg was hitting hard that's for sure. Those first two fumbles were the result of a couple of hard hits.

Burg gets Barnesville next and I'm hoping for Groveport. It's all highway for both schools and it is exactly 1hr38mins away for both schools. Lancaster is out in the country and a more dangerous drive for both towns.
