The schools need to "go on strike" against the OHSAA, simply let everyone in free, and report zero attendance until ticket prices drop on all ohsaa owned events.
And the first school to do that will be banned from hosting any contest.

These same legislators have nothing better to do than this? Oh and introduce Bills that OSU must be on network TV. Those are definitely the biggest problems we have in this State.

Leading isn't easy!
Hosting a game isn't a great money maker for a school, not getting to host is no great travesty.

Yep! Had a person from a host school say they are losing money by hosting because they have to pay out people to work and they have to pay to have law enforcement on the grounds. Since the OH$AA won't give the schools a dime, then what they make for concessions or parking has to go for that. Plus they have to pay for the electric to have the lights on.

Pretty sure why it is getting harder for the OH$AA to get schools to host.

Uh huh. Until you can’t host other tourney contests like first round volleyball, first round basketball and baseball/softball as part of the ban because some fool tried to rip off the OHSAA by letting everyone in for free.

They are not “losing money by hosting.” Quit with your BS.

I dont like the government involved either, but the current way isn't sustainable. It shouldn't cost approximately 50-100 dollars for a family of 4 to support their team. Ticket prices, gas, food, etc..everything is outrageously high when you barely make enough to keep the lights on.

Where are they making there money at? OH$AA doesn't give a dime of the ticket sales to the schools anymore. Used to the schools got a dollar for every ticket sold pregame at the school. Took that away after the "Covid" years.

They get a flat fee for hosting from the OHSAA.

The only thing i found online is that host teams for the Regional finals get a flat fee of $2800. It doesn't say anything about the other games.

Forget a bill to ohsaa. How about a bill towards not using the daylight savings Fall Back anymore. Spring forward And leave it alone.

All hosts in the regional are paid a four figure fee per game, regardless of what tournament stage.

If schools were making money, more than the very few would host
