Cueto and Liriano were both in mid-season form on opening day.

As a side note, if the Reds are out of the race near the trade deadline, do they try and trade Cueto or Chapman since they will both be free agents after this year?

If they are completely out of it at the trade deadline (which I hope they aren't!) you absolutely have to trade Cueto. I think you can re-sign Chapman, but they don't have the money for Cueto. So, if there's no way they can make the playoffs at the point, they could get so much for Cueto it would make your head spin!

Since it seems like they've tried almost everyone in that set up role (and all of them have failed miserably) why don't they stick Hoover in there? He's definitely their second best guy behind Chapman out of the pen, and he's been lights out this year.

Byrd has definitely been a joke so far! Hoover has been their second best guy in the pen so far by far! Bruce batting low, but Hamilton even worse, barely squeezing it over .100 right now.
