Bengals sign Roy Williams

Post by Tartanblue »

This is a great pickup....the defense should be strong this year with now having Williams at the safety...a linebacking core of probly Jones, Rivers, and the USC LB he we got in the draft...and Tank Johnson up the middle.

I heard that on the way to work this morning. We might actually have a defense to go with our offense. I like they way they are actually working to improve the defense this year. On another note Levi Jones was released yesterday. He was an often injured Offensive Tackle. Just from this off season it seems as if they are actually working towards something instead of just staying bad.

Wait a minute, I haven't heard about Roy Williams being arrested lately.
I thought that was a prerequisite for the Bengals.

Great pick up for the Bengals. The NFL'S hardest hitter in his prime.

All I can say is its about time the Bengals do something about their defense. It looks like Mike Zimmer is bringing a lot of talent to play on his defense. The D-Line is going to be fierce with Tank coming up the middle and behind him will be the USC Duo in Keith Rivers and Rey Maualuga and most likely Rashad Jeanty. Running the Secondary will be Jonathan Joseph and Leon Hall. Two tremendous cover corners. And if they someone how get beat down field they will have Roy Williams and Chinedum Ndukwe to deal with.

I guess Mike Brown finally got the message, huh?
Cincinnati had a decent defense - the big problem was that their offense was pathetic without Palmer and they had to stay on the field too long. This could easily be a top 10 defense overall.
The AFC North looks like it could be very competitive! :122246

Yeah I knew they got O'Sullivan. Bengals fans had better hope they don't have to use him. They need Palmer to stay healthy.

Folks, dallas let roy williams go for a reason. he doesnt pack the same punch he used to and he is possibly the worst cover safety in the NFL.

i think they let him go because he is getting older, they are trying to rebuild, and b/c jerry jones just does what he want (wrong most of the time)

Jones is starting to get a bad case of "Al Davis Syndrome", methinks.
