guess that oden is wanting to come back and play in the nba again next year with the heat. not trying to talk bad about him or anything but when do you have to accept that you have had too many injuries and need to call it quits. how long before he gets hurt again if he does play next season

Sounds like he just wants a ring even if he has to be on the injured list to do it,I feel for him not getting a real chance to prove himself with all the injuries

He has a ton of talent and shows he has the skills to be a good starting center when he actually plays. It must be terrible for guys like Oden and Bowie to go down as busts in the history books when they know they could have been good players given the opportunities others had. A healthy Oden on a team as stacked already as the Heat could be a scary thing. A competitive center has been the only thing this team has lacked. I wish him the best of luck wherever he goes.

Just as you compared him too, Oden reminds me so much of Sam Bowie and the leg injuries he went through. The wild comparison too is Portland drafted both of those guys. Took Bowie #2 pick of the draft ahead of Michael Jordan and took Oden #1 ahead of Durant. Now that's some bad luck lol.

Hopefully like Bowie did, Oden can get it straightened out and still finish with a decent playing career and not be a complete bust.

If he does get healthy he would be a valuable asset to the heat

Didn't Portland need a center both times?

Yes, they are two of the favorites in talks with his agent. I've also heard the Celtics and Mavericks are seriously interested.

The Celtics could probably use Russell and Cousy right about now! :(

Be nice if he could help Cleveland at least win a few games.
