Daddy talk!

after the Clippers routed the Los Angeles Lakers 108-92 and held Ball to three points, four assists and nine rebounds in his debut, Beverley was heard screaming, "weak [expletive] [expletive]. Bring him out on the court with me and I will tear his [expletive] up," as he walked off the court and into the locker room.

"Yeah, you shut the [expletive] down," LaVar Ball told ESPN after the game. "And your check still ain't going to go no higher than what it is. Yeah, you shut him down. OK ... Who is Patrick Beverley? He played all last year and nobody said nothing about him. Now we are looking at your first game. Why? Because Lonzo's name is attached to it.

"So you got to be [all hard]," Ball added as he slapped his fists together. "Let's see what you do the next five games, if you are going to be pumped up towards everybody like that and go back to your 0-for-5 shooting and your two or three rebounds. Nobody is going to care about you. But you put my son's name in it and you put my name in it, now you got some action and you got some people talking."

If this kid's dad would keep his mouth shut he would be more free to play.

Very true. If his dad does not shut that mouth and keep him under pressure this will go down as a major draft bust

When LaVar made the statement about putting his name in it. That is him wanting his name out there as much as his son. I remember in Physc classes talking about Super Ego I think they need to come up for a new term to describe LaVar. LaVar is going to bring hatred out of players and fans at games because of his dad. I would not be surprised that someone takes a gun and shoots LaVar.

I read that Lonzo will be charging $15,000 per interview that he is not contract required to do. Wish the media would quit reporting on LaVar.

He thinks his son is the greatest ever. Just over the top. LaVar needs to understand like many who actually play in the NBA that you will probably lose more games then you ever have before in a season. As for some more than they ever have since high school.
Then you hear talk about LeBron wanting to go to LA. I don't think anyone can put up with LaVar talking or control him.

When he wins the MVP and multiple championships, I'll give a damm about this.

Lavar could be easily be the downfall of LA. No star will put up with him.

Another sad night for him. 4 points. Teams would probably triple team him and let others score just to shut lavar up.

LOS ANGELES -- Washington Wizards point guard John Wall acknowledged that LaVar Ball's brash prediction earlier this week gave him added motivation to play well in his matchup Wednesday night against Los Angeles Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball.

If this young man fails it will be because of his dad.

I'm not a fan, but I will say this, he has all the talent in the world, he has the ability to get to a point where he is a walking triple double. But, I agree with noreply, if he fails it will be because of the pressure his dad puts on him and the target it puts on his back.

I only watched a few of his games last year at UCLA and he was a non factor. Not the same player as he was in the highlights shown on tv. Some games he was afraid to shoot. Which in the NBA he will have more games of non factor than the big time games.

He would play a lot better if he didn't keep stepping in that hole in the stands.
