Browns star wide receiver Odell Beckham has fully participated "in the early stages" of training camp, after expressing reservations whether the NFL should forge ahead and have a season with the coronavirus still spreading. Beckham reported to Cleveland's training camp last week, passed the Covid-19 testing and has taken part in all team activities. Then on Monday, the flashy receiver was quoted in a story saying that he wondered why the NFL was putting the players health at risk. Has anyone ever really thought why Odell is not still playing in New York ? Odell loves to be the center of attention, he's never seen a camera or a microphone that he's not drawn to. He's a very talented football player, and it would really be great if he showed that on the field this year for the Browns, we can always hope.

The Cleveland Browns have placed defensive tackle Andrew Billings on the reserve/opt-out list. Billings joined the Browns this offseason as an unrestricted free agent. Originally drafted by the Bengals in the 4th Rd of the 2016 draft. The Browns also placed WR Ja'Marcus Bradley on the reserve/Covid-19 list.

Cleveland Browns TE Austin Hoops wants to squash the notion that David Njoku wanted out of Cleveland because of Hoops, whom the Browns made the highest paid TE in the NFL. Hoops said that he and David have always been cool, he's a super nice guy, genuinely a good human being. Austin I hope that everything goes that smooth the whole year, but I have a little trouble believing that he went out and hired himself a new shiny agent, and then said that he wanted to be traded right after the Browns signed you as a free agent.

Cleveland Browns OL Colby Gossett has opted out of the 2020 NFL season. Signed as a free agent last September, Gossett spent 15 weeks on the Browns practice squad last season. Entering the 2020 season, he was expected to provide depth in the middle of the offensive line and possibly compete for playing time at right guard.

The Cleveland Browns signed TE Austin Hooper to the largest deal ever for a TE this offseason. Baker Mayfield invited Hooper to come to his home in Texas earlier this year, so that they could get in a little practice time throwing and catching the ball. Hooper said he was there for 2 or 3 weeks, and that he thought it was really great that it kind of helped our chemistry quite a bit. He also said that Mayfield was one of the main reasons that he signed with the Browns.

The Browns cleared their reserve/Covid-19 list Friday. The team announced that WR Ja'Marcus Bradley had been activated after being placed on the list. The undrafted rookie from Louisiana Lafayette was their only player left on the list as the week came to a close, after initially landing on the list Tuesday.

The Browns have activated Jarvis Landry from the PUP list, which is on schedule in a unique year. They have also taken a flyer on defensive back M.J. Stewart, a 2018 2nd Rd pick of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

There are reports that the Cleveland Browns are bringing offensive guard Ronard Leary, to town in hopes of signing a contract. Leary, 31, has some experience with part of the Browns coaching staff, having played for the Cowboys when offensive line coach Bill Callahan was with the Cowboys. The Browns need a little depth on the offensive line, as at least three offensive lineman opted out on playing the 2020 NFL season.

Cleveland Browns coach Kevin Stefanski revealed that J.C. Tretter, the Browns starting center would miss some time from a surgery he recently had on his knee. If there's one think about Tretter is that he's played through injuries often with the Browns, so this surgery was surely well warranted. Stefanski said this will offer a great opportunity for rookie Nick Harris, a 5th Rd pick out of Washington just a few months back, a player the Browns are really excited about.

Cleveland Browns second-year safety Sheldrick Redwine grabbed the spotlight in practice with two interceptions, one in team drills and one in 1-on-1's. Redwine, the Browns 4th Rd pick out of Miami, hopes to challenge for playing time at safety this season, where Karl Joseph and rookie Grant Delpit are the current frontrunners.

When the Browns decided to move on from both Joe Schobert and Christian Kirksey earlier this year, the teams linebacker group became arguably the biggest question mark on the team. The lack of experience left behind was noticeable, Mack Wilson (14 starts) and Sione Takitaki (105 snaps) were coming off their rookie seasons. B.J. Goodson has 4 yrs experience but has never played 50% of his teams snaps, and Jacob Phillips is a 3rd Rd draft pick this past draft. So it's understandable that you haven't seen anyone rank the Browns LB unit among the best heading into the 2020 season. Otherwise, you may have seen a ranking putting them near the bottom of the league though.

Former Cleveland Browns player, Jason Wright, is named President of the Washington Redskins football team. The hire is historic, being that Jason Wright now becomes the first African American President of an NFL franchise in league history. Wright was a running back for the Browns, and spent four seasons of his seven year career with the Browns.

If the Cleveland Browns plan on having a major resurgence in 2020, they will probably need another big year from running back Nick Chubb, who gained nearly 1500 yards on the ground in 2019, and appears to be the centerpiece of the teams offense. One day into padded practice at the training camp, however, the young Pro Bowler could be sidelined for the immediate future. On Tuesday the Browns announced that Chubb has entered the leagues concussion protocol after sustaining a hard hit by linebacker Mack Wilson during practice.

The Cleveland Browns have made a roster move, in claiming M.J. Stewart off waivers from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Stewart, a defensive back was a second round pick by the Buccaneers in the 2018 NFL draft. Stewart played his college ball at University of North Carolina, and was a consistent player over his four year college career.

The Browns only have one kicker on the roster, Austin Seibert. I'm still trying to figure out why they would bring four more kickers into camp for tryouts. I don't really see where Seibert did that much wrong last year to hurt his chances to be the kicker again. Maybe he isn't perfect, but he still converted 25 out of 29 field goal attempts, with his 4 misses coming from 45, 46 (2) and 50 yds. He did only make 30 of 35 extra points, but they are not automatic anymore. They did bring in 4 more kickers, Nick Folk, Matthew McCrane, Kai Forbath and Cody Parker. The Browns had plenty of problems last year, but I'm not sure that the kicker was at the forefront.
