Well 2 of 82 down, just have to go 19-61 the rest of the season to beat last year's abysmal season. We played a very gimped up Indiana team missing 2 of their best 3 wings but we beat them handily at home, we lost games like that year(obviously when you lose 63 games you lose them about every way possible). They still had a nice pair of bigs on the floor with 2016 All-Rookie team membe and last years blocked shot leader Myles Turner and 23 year old Domantas Sabonis who posted personal highs in every category this year. They torched Detroit's front line 52 points and 22 rebounds but were held in check by Love and Thompson who outscored them 46 to 25 and outrebounded them 26-16. Sexton and Garland had nice games with Sexton adding 18 points and 5 rebounds and Garland scoring 12 with 4 assists while seemingly getting into the lane with ease. Clarkson was big off the bench adding 15 points on 8 shots and 2 steals and John Henson looked good in his first game since last November after missing all but a few games last year. He came off the bench and registered 2 blocks and 2 steals in just 8 minutes. Player of the game goes to Love though 21 points on 8 shots, 9 trips to the charity stripe keeping the Cavs in the bonus and the Pacers bigs on the bench, also had 13 rebounds, 9 assists and 2 steals. Overall a great team game, we built big leads, we let them back in a few times but ultimately closed the game out, a young team needs thread moments to grow.
Also, kudos to Tristan Thompson for hitting his first NBA 3 pointer I'm his 9 year career.
