Dallas 25 Los Angeles 18 (XFL)

Quarterback play was poor and it had very little to do with the play of the O-Lines. Josh Johnson (San Diego) 19-35 2 TD 0 Int's but he missed several wide open receivers, when he was not under pressure. Nelson Spruce ( Colorado) caught both of the Johnson touchdowns. He was the only weapon for L.A. He totaled 6 catches for 89 yards and the 2 touchdowns. For Dallas, Landry Jones 28-40 305 yards and 1 touchdowns. He was 11-14 (I think 128 yards) in the 2nd half, with most of the passes being of the short variety. I will admit he got better as the game went on a large part of that was because the running game finally got used. Leading the Dallas ground game was Cameron Artis-Payne (Auburn) 14-99 2 touchdowns. His offensive line was magnificent especially in the 2nd half. Austin MacGinnis (Kentucky) hit both of his field goals 41 and 45 yards.
Johnson connected with Adonis Jennings (Temple) to convert the first ever three point, point after attempt. Will Smith (Texas Tech) and Harlan Miller (Southeast Louisiana) had a pick for L.A. Ahmad Dixon (Baylor) led the Wildcats with 8 tackles.
For Dallas, Lance Dunbar (North Texas) added 42 yards on just 6 carries. Gerald Rivers (Mississippi) and Ray Ray Davison (California) each had a sack.
