St. Louis 29 New York 9 (XFL)

Post by LICKING COUNTY FAN »

I think what was confirmed in this game is New York (1-2) has the worse quarterback situtation in the league. Luis Perez (Texas A&M Commerce) might be their best QB and he was a bust in the AAF. I think we also learned that St.Louis (2-1) is a solid team. Matt Jones (Florida) had a touchdown to go with 95 yards on 15 carries. Also for the Battle-Hawks, Christine Michael (Texas A&M) had a TD to go with 44 yards on 13 carries. On the defensive side of the ball Will Hill (Florida) and Dexter McCoil (Tulsa) each had 9 tackles. Kenny Robinson (West Virginia) had a pick, while Will Clarke (West Virginia), Andrew Ankrah (James Madison) and Casey Sayles (Ohio) all had a sack. Taylor Russolino (Millsaps) had field goals from 39,58 and 36 yards. The young man is doing great coming from a division three school.
For New York, Matt McGloin (Penn State) was 8-11 good for 73 yards and a pick before getting hurt. Most of his passes were of the short variety as he had shown he has little touch on the medium to deep passes. Perez, was 4-5 for 80 yards and 1 TD. Austin Duke (Charlotte) caught the Perez touchdown. Overall he had 4 catches and 43 yards. Ranthony Texada II (TCU) had a sack, while Ryan Mueller (Kansas State) and Cavon Walker (Maryland) each had a half of a sack. Matt McCrane (Kansas State) had a 53 yard field goal.
