Philadelphia 76ers point guard Ben Simmons knee injury is worse than what was originally thought. After leaving Wednesdays game against the Washington Wizards, the 76ers point guard was initially reported as day to day. The 76ers then announced on Thurs that he suffered a subluxation of his left patella, a partially dislocated cap in his left leg. He is most certainly out indefinitely at this stage.

The WNBA has announced that "Zero Players" out of 139 players total had tested positive for Covid-19 since the initial quarantine period ended on July 10th. There were seven positive tests during the initial quarantine period in early July, when teams began arriving to the IMG academy campus in Bradenton, Florida. The teams who initially tested positive when their teams arrived in Florida remained in self-isolation near the Img until they had tested negative 2 times.

The NCAA's deadline for college prospects to withdraw from the NBA draft came and went this past week, inching the pool of eligible prospects one step closer to final as the new October 16th draft date approaches. Given the circumstances, with what's already regarded as a weak draft class, all eyes are on the NBA's bubble in Orlando, and with Covid-19 casting doubt over what next season will look like at all levels of hoops, this was far from a dramatic few days of final decisions, at least from the league's perspective.

Although short lived, D'Angelo Russell certainly left his mark on Ohio State basketball with his outstanding play during the 2014-15 season. Drafted as the 2nd overall pick in the 2015 NBA draft by the Lakers, Russell has since seen 4-NBA uniforms in his young career. Traded to the Brooklyn Nets in 2017, he was selected as an NBA All Star and averaged 21.1 pts per game. In 2019 he was traded to Golden State, and in his short stint there he put up 23.6 pts a game, before now landing in his current spot with the Minnesota Timberwolves. He only played in 12 games for the Wolves, before the Covid-19 stopped the season, and being that the Wolves didn't make the post season, he will play his next game when the 2021 NBA season starts.

The Philadelphia 76ers announced on Saturday that point guard Ben Simmons will need surgery to remove a loose body from his injured knee. Simmons will leave the bubble for the procedure. A timetable for his return is not clear.

Draymond Green's stint as a TNT analyst on Friday, has led to him being fined $50,000 dollars for tampering by the NBA. While on the Air, he was saying that Devin Booker needs to get out of Phoenix, that he is playing well, and the Phoenix team is playing well also, but that we have to get my man out of Phoenix. After this happened, quite a few people thought that it was only a matter of time before the NBA would respond.

Toronto Raptors assistant coach Adrian Griffin has been accused of several incidents of domestic violence by his former wife, Audrey Griffin. ( Nothing like airing your dirty laundry in the news.) Audrey accuses Griffin of choking her, throwing her into a wall, dragging her out of the house while she was pregnant, dragging her across the lawn in front of their children, and giving her sexually transmitted diseases by having unprotected sex outside of their marriage that he did not disclose to her. She also claims that Griffin has not followed a court order, and has not been sending financial support. She says that she has proof of all of these incidents, but that Griffin has been able to "get away with it" due to his position as an NBA assistant coach.

Former Ohio State Buckeye Mike Conley has left the NBA's bubble in Orlando, Florida, and is headed back to Colunbus for the birth of his son. Yeah, we know that the NBA playoffs are about to begin, and that he will probably have to sit out a bit when he gets back to the bubble, but then some things are a little more important. Congrats to Mike and his family.

The New Orleans Pelicans have fired head coach Alvin Gentry on Saturday after the team missed the playoffs for the 4th time in 5 seasons. Reports of Gentry's departure ( Probably put out by the Pelicans themselves) began swirling before the Pelicans season finale loss to the Magic 133-127, on Thursday. The Pelicans disappointing year wrapped up with a 30-42 season record.

Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard was named the "Player of the Seeding Games" in a unanimous vote, the NBA announced on Saturday. In 8 bubble games played, Lillard averaged a league best 37.6 points per game and 9.6 assists a game. While leading the Trail Blazers to the Western Conference play-in tournament for the #8 seed. The Trail Blazers edged out the Phoenix Suns to face the Memphis Grizzlies for the final playoff spot in the West. I'm not sure on the score, but I'm pretty sure that the Trail Blazers did beat the Grizzlies to earn that final playoff spot.

On Tuesday, the NBA and the NBPA announced an agreement for offseason workout plans for the eight teams not included in the league restart. Starting September 14th, the eight teams will be allowed to conduct in-market workouts. The workout schedule will be broken into two phases. From September 14-20th, teams will continue to host individual workouts with daily Covid-19 testing. On September 21st, players will be allowed to join group training activities and inter-squad scrimmages. In phase two, teams will be required to create a "campus-like environment" in their home city with private living accommodations for anyone participating in group activities.

The NBA draft lottery is finally here after the coronavirus pandemic nearly derailed the leagues season, and delayed draft related events for months. Originally scheduled for May, the annual NBA draft lottery will air Thursday night following the conclusion of game 2 between the Bucks and the Magic. MBA deputy commissioner Mark Tatum will announce the results from the Leagues Offices in Secaucus, N.J. in front of representatives from each team. In the flattened lottery system, the three worst NBA teams, the Warriors, Cavaliers and the Timberwolves will each have a 14% chance of winning the #1 pick. The Warriors, the team with the worst overall record, cannot drop below 5th in the draft order.

After four long day's of being confined in his hotel room in quarantine, former Buckeye Mike Conley wasn't about to be contained on the court. Conley made a career playoff high seven 3-pointers and scored 27 pts in his return from quarantine, helping the Utah Jazz rout the Denver Nuggets 124-87 for a 2-1 lead in the 1st Rd series.

Another NBA game, yet another unnerving free throw disparity favoring ( LeBron ) the Los Angles Lakers. Okay NBA refs, we get it, You all really want to see LeBron James and the #1 seeded Lakers in the NBA finals, but don't make it so obvious. Game three of this Western Conference first round series between the Trail Blazers and the Lakers is underway, and it is more of the same story when it comes to the number of whistles. This is playoff basketball for gods sake, let them play. This is why at times it's so hard to want to watch NBA basketball. The Lakers shot 43 free throws for the game, the Trail Blazers shot 19 free throws for the game. LeBron went to the line 17 times himself, give me a break.

What a game between the Mavs and Clips! Heard a lot about Doncic but didn't see him play until today. Wow he is the real deal! Move over bronny the league has a new superstar! He is unreal how cool he is under pressure. Hope the Mavs can win this series so I can keep watching him play. Would love to see him and james tangle. Hopefully the refs would call it fair.

He is quite a player, no doubt about that. I didn't see the ending, but I know he hit the game winner right close to the buzzer.

You missed it vetteman! I didn't start watching myself until the second half. They said the Clips were killing them early on. Mavs came back and took the lead by 12 points I believe late in the second half. Clips battled back to take it to overtime. Doncic was way downtown when he let the game winner go. His range is unbelievable! He really looks like the next Larry Bird who can do it all and only 21 years old. It was a fantastic game. Wish I would have caught the whole thing. Mavs trailed by 21 in the second quarter and Doncic was a game time decision because of his ankle which makes his performance even more incredible. His line - 43 points, 17 rebounds, 13 assists :o
