Do you remember back in February 2019, when Patriots owner Robert Craft was charged with two counts of soliciting prostitution at a Spa in Florida? Well eighteen months later, a Florida appeals court has ruled the video evidence of Kraft and other suspects inadmissible under the forth amendment. I bet that some of his expensive legal team were some of those "sharpies," that ruled on that popular "hanging chads" situation in Florida a few years ago.

The Baltimore Ravens are done with safety Earl Thomas. The Ravens have decided to either release him or trade Thomas. The decision comes after Thomas and safety Chuck Clark got into a fight at practice, which is not all that uncommon. Ravens coach John Harbaugh said that the altercation lasted too long. There are rumors that Thomas isn't the most popular player in the teams locker room. Thomas, 31 yr old, signed a four year, 55 million deal in 2019 with the Ravens. He's owed 10 million in 2020, but the Ravens could avoid paying that salary if it suspends him due to conduct detrimental to the team. Thomas no doubt file a grievance if the team took that route. If Thomas is traded, the Cowboys are the favorite destination.

When the Baltimore Ravens parted ways with Earl Thomas over the weekend, there was rampant speculation over where the All-Pro safety might end up. One team atop most of the lists, the Dallas Cowboys. Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy, said that if there are any prospects available, those are conversations for Jerry (Jones), Stephen (Jones), and Will McClay, as far as looking at that situation, so I have nothing really to report at this time.

The NFL's partner for Covid-19 testing, Bio Reference Laboratories, has confirmed that the alarming influx of positive tests among league players and personnel on Saturday were false positives as suspected. Those impacted, reportedly 77 in all, have all been retested and confirmed to be negative for Covid-19. In a statement, Bio Reference executive chairmen Jon R. Cohen said the company was quick to presume that the results were most likely false positives caused by an isolated contamination during test preparation in the New Jersey Laboratory. When you can't even trust the Laboratory to do things right, and this went way too far even at that, he still doesn't seem to know for sure exactly what happened.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have agreed to trade franchise defensive end Yannick Ngakoue to the Minnesota Vikings for a second and a conditional fifth round pick that could go as high as a third round pick.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have waived running back Leonard Fournette, a surprising decision that gets the team closer to purging Tom Coughlin's tenure. The Jaguars spent months trying to trade the 4th overall pick out of LSU in the 2017 NFL draft. If he clears waivers, he would then become a free agent. He would be due 4.17 million in salary this season if someone claims him.

Washington will go with Dwayne Haskins as it's starting quarterback in week one, as the second year former Buckeye QB beat out veteran QB Alex Smith for the starting roll. This decision just doesn't seem set in stone to me, as Washington's new head coach might just have a quick hook, and replace him with the veteran especially if the team gets off to a slow start. I wonder which QB Urban Meyer might be pulling for, being that Alex Smith was a very good signal caller for Urban at University of Utah ?

The New England Patriots have named Cam Newton as their starting quarterback. His teammates have also voted him team captain. ( That seems a little weird to me.) Newton signed a one year deal with New England in the off season after being released by the Carolina Panthers. I wouldn't think that this is sort of meant as a slap in the face to Tom Brady, being that he left to go to Tampa Bay, but it still seems a little strange to me, that you just name a recently signed new player as the starter, and then turn around and vote him captain. I don't think there was ever any doubt about him being the starter, just a little surprised with a lot of veteran's on the team, and then being voted captain.

Adrian Peterson is reportedly done with the Washington football team, as the veteran running back will be released before Saturdays 53 man roster deadline. Once the move is official, the 35 year old will become a free agent. Things looked good for Peterson in Washington earlier, when running back Derrius Guice was released, apparently that wasn't the case.

The Miami Dolphins are reportedly moving on from quarterback Josh Rosen. The former UCLA top 10 pick is among the Dolphins training camp cuts. Miami had attempted to trade Rosen over the last week, but couldn't find a taker for the third-year quarterback.

Josh Rosen, the 10th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, is signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers practice squad. Rosen apparently talked to other teams that had openings on their active rosters, but with guaranteed $$ in his pocket already, went with the best fit in Tampa Bay. This guy even when coming out of UCLA and the draft, has always had a very high opinion of himself.

Josh McCown gets to have it all this 2020 NFL season and is entering the history books while doing it. McCown signed a contract with the Philadelphia Eagles to join their practice squad. It will make him the oldest practice squad player in NFL history at the age of 41. McCown will live in Texas, Make $12,000 a week and serve as the Eagles emergency quarterback. You talk about a good job, how could you have anything any better than this ?

Jadeveon Clowney has agreed to sign with the Tennessee Titans on a one-year contract, worth 15 million. Clowney was expected to sign with the team as of Saturday night. Clowney has all the talent in the world, but has been known in the past to maybe take a play off here and there. This could get interesting, because one thing that the head coach of the Titans will not stand for would be lack of effort.
