James Conner ran for 109 yards and the go-ahead touchdown midway through the fourth quarter, as the Pittsburgh Steelers stayed perfect by rallying past the Houston Texan's 28-21 on Sunday afternoon. The Steelers improved to 3-0 for the first time in a decade by putting the clamps on the Texan's in the second half. Houston managed just 51 yards and two first downs after halftime as a early 11-point lead vanished. The Texan's are still winless on the year at 0-3. Roethlisberger threw for 237 yards and two touchdowns, in his franchise record 221st appearance. The Steelers collected five sacks, extending their streak of games with at least one sack to 60 straight games, the fourth longest in NFL history.

When Pittsburgh Steeler tackle Alejandro Villanueva chose to cover up the name of Antwon Rose Jr. on the back of his helmet, it was "exclusively" he said, about honoring an Army Veteran and trying to help him get a Medal of Honor. The Steelers reportedly took a team vote to wear Rose's name during their season opener to honor victims of system racism. Rose was 17, when he was killed by East Pittsburgh police. Villanueva covered it up with a piece of tape, and put the name of Alwyn Cashe, a black U.S. Army Sergeant who served in Iraq and died of injuries sustained there. Villanueva, 32, is a former Army Ranger and served three tours in Afghanistan. After playing collegiately at Army, he spent 2010-2015 in the service before leaving and starting his NFL career.

Ray Ray McCloud is itching to take one to the house, you can just tell. In five kickoff returns, McCloud contributed 144 yards for an average of 29 yards per return. Right now, he's no Cordarrelle Patterson or Devin DuVernay, but he's still a big deal for Pittsburgh who hasn't had a dynamic kick returner since Antonio Brown left. Punt returns require a different technical skill set than kick returns, but McCloud has shown that he can handle both.

The relationship between linebackers Bud Dupree and T.J. Watts is evidenced by their on-field production. The two work in harmony, almost seamlessly, each game day. That is why they are one of the best pass-rush duos in the NFL. Dupree said that their success stem's from working together not only during the season, but in the offseason as well. This season could very well be the last of the Dupree and Watt's twosome. Bud is currently playing under the franchise tag, and the Steelers may not be able to afford to pay what he'll be worth.

For Week-5 practice squad protections, the Steelers have chosen wide receiver Deon Cain, linebacker Jayrone Elliott, defensive end Henry Mondeaux and running back Wendell Smallwood. These four are not eligible to sign with another team until after Sunday's game. Practice squad protection is a new concept for the 2020 season. It's a concession for the potential personnel shortages that could occur if the virus strikes the locker room. Teams can designate protected players each Tuesday beginning at 4 PM, except for clubs that played on the previous Monday night, their designations go into effect prior to 4 PM Wednesday.

In the 17 seasons that Ben Roethlisberger has been the QB for the Pittsburgh Steelers, former Steelers QB Terry Bradshaw had not spoken directly with him. At times, the 4-time Super Bowl Champion has been very critical of Roethlisberger. Recently, Bradshaw had an opportunity to sit down with Big Ben, though virtually, to interview him for the first time. It was a light hearted interview that started with Bradshaw asking Ben how he's feeling ? "Old", Roethlisberger replied. After the interview segment ended, Bradshaw admitted he was scared and nervous to talk to Big Ben. Bradshaw said that they had not had a good relationship, actually they didn't have any relationship. Being able to talk to him, I think has helped me and him come closer together. It's good for the Steelers organization as well as the City of Pittsburgh.

For Week-6 the Steelers are protecting the same 4 players that they protected in Week-5.
