Kyle Lewis of the Seattle Mariners has won the American League Rookie of the Year award. Lewis was the offensive leader on his team, putting up a .262 BA, 11 HRs, 37 Rs, 34 BBs. Lewis was the unanimous winner of the award, after leading AL rookies in runs, walks, total bases (90) and WAR (1.7), while finishing second among AL rookies in RBI (28) and hits (54), and fifth in steals (5).

In the National League it wasn't unanimous but Devin Williams of the Milwaukee Brewers still ran away with the award of Rookie of the Year. Williams became the first relief pitcher since 2011 (Craig Kimbrel, Braves) to win the Rookie of the Year award in either league, and became the first non-closer to do so since Scott Williamson of the Reds won the award in 1999. Williams was utterly dominant while posting a 0.33 ERA and a .090 opponent average in 27 innings pitched while striking out an impressive 53 batters. Williams' dominant season also ended in winning the NL Reliever of the Year.
