College Football Playoff Rankings

Post by Valenth »

Looking at the CFP rankings through my screenshots Below... I'm surprised by the flip.... But there's one thing that surprised me in the top 10... The Jump that the committee gave Baylor... This will open up the door for possibly a BIG XII team to have an argument for the College Football playoff. Utah needs to go out an just whoop up on their remaining opponents to argue for a spot as well.

Seems like it is shaping up...top 3 hold serve then you have a interesting decision.

Winner of Big 12 Championship or..
If Utah wins PAC 12 Championship or..
Would those Delta Alphas take Bama should they win the Iron Bowl???

I pray not the latter of those 3...guessing #4 could be..Oklahoma...Baylor or...Utah

Well color me wrong. I thought the supposed sec bias would keep the Bucks out of the top spot.

The committee wants OSU vs Bama or Oklahoma. LSU clearly has the better resume but it’s all about money

OSU clearly looks better than LSU. They actually play defense.

Yeah, don't think Michigan State qualifies as a quality win.

I hope Oregon beats Utah to end the Pac12 nonsense of belonging in the playoffs and the same with Baylor-Oklahoma in the Big12 this year. If any of these get in the committee really doesn't care about missing the boat in what are supposed to be the 4 best and competitive teams in America going head to head. They haven't got it right half the time anyway in the 5 years of the CFP as 8 of the 15 games so far have been a no contest or complete blowouts anyway. The talking heads do no better in the secret room with their 30,289 computer metrics than some of us do in our living rooms with common sense, injuries, caliber of opponent and eyetest alone

Nowhere near as bad as an ESPN commentator saying Mississippi State was one of Alabama's Quality wins...

OSU regaining the number one ranking is great for our egos but also will help the Buckeyes stay in the CFP conversation if the unthinkable happens against the Wolverines this Saturday.

They suck but the committee will spin anything for OSU

A lot of football still to be played and upsets do happen.

LSU has played the better schedule with wins vs 4 top 10 teams to date.

OSU appears to be the better overall team because their defense is better than LSU's.

Rooting for Harbaugh to go 0-5 vs OSU.

Final Rankings

1. Ohio State
2. LSU
3. Clemson
4. Alabama

The committees reasoning:

It takes a special person rooting for the SEC to still complain about the CFP even when 2 SEC teams get in

The Buckeyes should never have been dropped to begin with after starting at No.1. Even if the Buckeyes win out and would win the National Championship, we've got 2 or 3 posters on here who would still claim that they didn't even deserve to be in the playoffs. I thought for awhile that it was just an act, but now I'm beginning to think they are really that miserable when it has anything favorable to do with the Buckeyes.
