North Carolina is the back-to-back-to-back national champion in D1 Field Hockey, after they edged out Michigan in a tight, and thrilling championship game, 4-3 over the weekend. The Tar Heels and the Wolverines were ranked #1 and #2 headed into the tournament, and both teams lived up to that billing. This is North Carolina's 9th title in program history and 3rd consecutive. Their path to the title included:

vs. Stanford - W 2-0
vs. Iowa - W 3-0
vs. Michigan - W 4-3

In their two matches in the NCAA Tournament, #1 Hawaii was dominant in D1 Men's Volleyball en route to their first (technically) in program history. They actually won a national championship in 2002, but were forced to vacate that title due to NCAA violations. As the top overall seed, the Rainbow Warriors earned byes through the 1st Round and Quarterfinal, and their path to the title included the following.

vs. UC Santa Barbara - W 3-0
vs. BYU - W 3-0
