This is definitely the correct scenario that OSU needs to happen. We dont want to compete with a 2 loss Auburn that beats Bama and then Georgia in the SEC Championship. Then the committee could take both Auburn and a one loss Bama and 2 spots are gone. Trust me, they wont leave a 1 loss Bama team sitting at home.smurray wrote: ↑Sun Nov 12, 2017 9:58 pm Bama needs to beat Auburn and then Georgia in the SEC Championship.
1. Bama in - everybody else out
Miami needs to beat Clemson in the Championship
2. Miami in - Clemson out
Oklahoma needs to win Big 12 Championship over whoever they play
3. Oklahoma in - everybody else out
That leaves the 4th spot wide open
* Wisconsin controls their own destiny. They beat Michigan and top 10 Ohio State and they are in as undefeated Big Ten Champs.
* Ohio State could slip in by winning out which means wins over Michigan and a possibly undefeated top 4 Wisconsin team.
* If Notre Dame wins out they have a slim chance with two losses but I think the Big Ten scenario is better. (There would need to be Big Ten chaos for ND to slip ahead of them).
* PAC 12 Champ with a slim chance but I don't see it at this point.
There's a lot that can happen in the SEC but I still think only one SEC team gets in.
That's all the Big 12 has been, 50's sloppy defensive games.dazed&confused wrote: ↑Mon Nov 13, 2017 10:13 am Also SEC, ACC and B1G conference championship games have to be blowouts and Big 12 needs to be something like a 52-50 sloppy defensive game
I'm not so sure a 1-loss Bama would be able to make it if they lost to Auburn. If it's a close loss, then I can an argument, but if Auburn blows out Bama like how Auburn did to Georgia, I'd consider leaving them at #5 if a 2 loss OSU dominated the remainder of their schedule. Another thing is to compare Bama's resume this year to OSU's last year as OSU had 3 wins in the top 8 and lost a close game @ Penn State. A 1-loss Bama would have 2 wins against LSU and @ Miss State, who would probably rank this week between 16 and 25, and then it'd depend on how the Auburn game goes. Third would be the fact that Bama is beat up with injuries. If OSU dominated these last 3 games who would a 2-loss champion with 2 top 10 wins vs. a beaten up, 1-loss Bama with no top 15 wins and would be a non-champ.Bleeding Red wrote: ↑Mon Nov 13, 2017 8:34 amThis is definitely the correct scenario that OSU needs to happen. ND is out. Period.
USC losing in the Pac12 Championship would help. A 2 loss Stanford or Washington State isnt going over a 2 loss OSU B1G Champ.
They will compare the ND vs MSU score with the OSU vs MSU score and see that OSU completely dominated the game entirely if ND gets back in the picture.
And to think our offense could only manage 16 measly points on onesmurray wrote: ↑Mon Nov 13, 2017 11:09 amThat's all the Big 12 has been, 50's sloppy defensive games.dazed&confused wrote: ↑Mon Nov 13, 2017 10:13 am Also SEC, ACC and B1G conference championship games have to be blowouts and Big 12 needs to be something like a 52-50 sloppy defensive game
He's talking about the 16 points we scored against Oklahoma. The defenses are terrible in the B12.YOU'RE TIGER BAIT wrote: ↑Tue Nov 14, 2017 10:23 am I have no idea what you're talking about bolt. I'm having a brain fart here. care to elaborate.
Stranger things have happened.

Tell us, does a two loss Notre Dame, a two loss Big 12 non champion, a two loss SEC non champion, a two loss ACC non champion beat out a two loss Big Ten CHAMPION?
The scenario isn’t far fetched at all. Will it play out that way - things haven’t played out the way we thought they would up to this point so who knows.
Yes, it just depends how it all plays out. But there is a very good possibility the Buckeyes make it.Omega wrote: ↑Tue Nov 14, 2017 10:06 pmsmurray wrote: ↑Tue Nov 14, 2017 9:04 pmStranger things have happened.

The Bucks were ninth in tonight's CFP rankings. Moved up four spots but behind Auburn Notre Dame and Georgia with Wisky only 5th. Even with the running the table by the Bucks or Badgers, you can make an argument the Big Ten and Pac12 get left out. This may be the year a conference gets two teams in. Chaos will happen, but the Bucks may be to far down to make up the gap. If Clemson and Miami have a close game in the ACC CG, both may get in.
