Mainly B1G ,BIG XII and PAC12 have ESPN, ABC and FOX TV agreements and SEC Has CBS, ABC and ESPN .
Notre Dame has been affiliated with NBC since the late 60's early 70's when Ara Parseghian was there with Lindsey Nelson broadcasting the games because they were the #1 national brand back then. The SEC games were always broadcast by CBS back then also. ABC always did Big10, Southwest (SWC), Big 8 and PAC 8 games with Keith Jackson as the main man. It was split between the 3 major networks back then and most games were televised in the afternoon on Saturdays competing with each other with no games on other days of the week. Then in the late afternoon , Middleport Ohio (Meigs county) native Dave Diles would do The College football scoreboard show on ABC. The B10 network was the first conference network to air games strictly by conference which started garnering the big money of today. Disney owns ESPN, FOX and ABC now so it stands to reason that they are the biggest conglomerate today in the sports viewing industry.

I've been in C-bus for 30 years and OSU has exploded from what it was in the 60's -70's. Same amount of students but the newest, best and costliest things are ever expanding. (Bldgs, Facilities, Dorms, Parking lots, Hospital expansion every year, etc). I guess when the money pours in you gotta spend it. The sad part is that athletic recruiting today @ most major programs has trumped academics and it's all geared towards becoming a pro and even with tutors, remedial classes, etc. most of these 4 and 5 stars out of high school will never get that degree or have a pro career. About 9 in 10,000 or .09 % of high school players have a chance of getting drafted. This increases to 1 out of 50 or 2% of all NCAA senior players getting a look on draft day.
