It was a highly dramatic Big Ten championship game, as the Buckeyes faced off with the Fighting Irish. In a game that was deadlocked at 2-2, it went on to provide even more great hockey. Unfortunately for OSU, that ended in OT with a 3-2 Notre Dame win.

Ohio State will wait to see their tournament fate on Sunday.

Although the Buckeyes lost a heartbreaker in the Big Ten Championship game to Notre Dame, they did still receive the #1 seed in their regional, in Allentown, PA. Other teams in the bracket include: Denver, Penn State and Princeton. Ohio State will face-off with the #4 seed Princeton in the First Round on March 24 at 3:30pm and will be on ESPNU.

Definitely a dominant performance. In the Frozen Four, they'll play the #3 seed out of the South Dakota Regional, Minnesota Duluth.

On a couple interesting side notes. 3 of the 4 remaining teams in the Frozen Four are in the Big Ten.

Ohio State and Notre Dame are the only two #1 seeds to advance to the Frozen Four.

Trailing 2-0 after just the first period in Saint Paul, Minnesota, to Minnesota-Duluth, the Buckeyes looked to get back into the game. It was on the big time stage in the Frozen Four and vying for a spot in the national championship game. Again, after the first period, the game was still at 2-0 as both teams failed to score in the period.

The third period is when the Buckeyes attempted their comeback. They earned a power play goal half way through the third, it was Tanner Laczynski who put one in the back of the net, with assists from Wyatt Ege and Dakota Joshua. That was all the scoring in the game.

The magical season for the Buckeyes came to an end, with a 2-1 loss in the Frozen Four.
