Gotta have multiple Heisman Trophy Candidates on the field.
Best offensive lineman
Multiple 1st round picks on the other side of the ball.

We do a good job at that. But AL does it better.

Ohio State All-American defensive tackle Haskell Garrett just announced that he will return to the Buckeyes for the 2021 season. This is very good news for the Buckeyes as Garrett had a great year this past season, and a lot of people were thinking that he would declare for the 2021 NFL Draft.

Ohio State is getting another one of their defensive tackles back, as Antwuan Jackson announced Tuesday that he also is returning to Ohio State for one more year, using the additional year of eligibility provided to all players by the NCAA. Jackson should be one of the frontrunners to start at nose tackle next season, along with Jerron Cage.

Former Buckeye Chase Young is the forth Buckeye in five years to win the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year Award from the Pro Football Writers of America. Young continues a trend of former Ohio State players winning the award that started with Joey Bosa in 2016, Marshon Lattimore in 2017 and Nick Bosa in 2019.

Defensive Back Sevyn Banks confirms that he will return to Ohio State for his senior year. Banks probably played as well if not better than any of the other defensive backs.

Offensive Lineman Toby Wilson, son of Offensive Coordinator Kevin Wilson of the Buckeyes, has committed to the Buckeyes as a preferred walk-on.

Ohio State Linebacker Pete Werner officially bid farewell to the Buckeyes on Thursday as he announced that he is entering the 2021 NFL Draft. This pretty much means that the Buckeyes will be losing their top four linebackers from this season, Tuf Borland, Baron Browning, Justin Hilliard and now Werner.

Pittsburgh Steelers sign former OSU QB Dwayne Haskins. A second chance, but sometimes you cannot fix stupid.

Being a former Buckeye, I'm glad that he is getting a second chance. I'm not sure that he will ever be a top-flight starting QB in the NFL. He probably could not pick a better situation as it is with Big Ben nearing the end of his career. The Steelers are a first class organization, and will probably give him ample time to prove that he belongs in the NFL. He will certainly not be the first athlete to have been given a second chance, it's now up to him to prove that he deserves it.

Dwayne headed there with Big Ben maybe a reflection of what the Saints did with Jamies Winston snd Drew Brees.

71 year old Greg Mattison to retire as Ohio State's co defensive coordinator. While his hire from Michigan was an effective insult to the Wolverines and Jim Harbaugh, I never figured out what his exact coaching responsibility was for the Buckeyes.

Ironton's Reid Carrico gets a nice mention in an Eleven Warriors article about Buckeye early enrollees:

"OHIO STATE’S MIDDLE LINEBACKER OF THE FUTURE?
The other top-100-ranked prospect among this weekend’s arrivals is Reid Carrico, who could be a key of the Buckeyes’ future – and potentially even the present – at linebacker.

With Tuf Borland, Pete Werner, Baron Browning and Justin Hilliard all gone from last season, all three of Ohio State’s starting linebacker jobs will be open for competition, and Carrico – fresh off starring for one of Ohio’s top small-school teams at Ironton – has the talent to push for immediate playing time on defense and special teams.

It would be an upset if he beats out Dallas Gant and Tommy Eichenberg for the starting Mike linebacker job as a true freshman, but he’s a definite candidate to win the job down the line and become a future leader for the Ohio State defense."

Undoubtedly Carrico will see special team duty and no worse than mop up defensive snaps in four games so as not to burn a red shirt opportunity.

Ohio State long snapper Bradley Robinson will return to the Buckeyes for the 2021 season. Robinson, a former walk-on and a Senior, will take advantage of the extra year of eligibility granted by the NCAA due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Five former Ohio State players will be at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama starting today, which means for the second year in a row five former Buckeyes will represent Ohio State. Four members of this past season's team, all of whom played in the defensive front seven, will actually be on the field this week. The game will be shown on the NFL network at 2:30 pm. Saturday afternoon. Former defensive end Jonathon Cooper and linebackers Tuf Borland, Baron Browning and Justin Hilliard will all be looking to elevate their NFL draft stock as they go through one final week of practices and play one final game in Ohio State helmets. Former running back Trey Sermon is also in attendance, though he won't be able to practice or play due to the shoulder injury he suffered in the playoff game against Alabama.

A quick scheduling note for those that might be wondering : Ohio States Pro Day for the NFL Draft prospects is scheduled to be held on March 30th. Since there won't be an NFL Scouting Combine this year, or at least not in the traditional sense of NFL Draft prospects gathering in Indianapolis to work out in front of NFL scouts, the Pro Day will be the only time Ohio State's Draft prospects get to run the 40-yard dash and go through other Combine drills in front of NFL evaluators before this years draft. Ohio State was unable to hold a Pro Day for NFL Draft prospects last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Ryan Day said last week though, that Ohio State has been in communication with the NFL regarding the logistics of how this year's Pro Day will be held as the pandemic continues.
