Re: The Bye Week Buckeye Haters Ball
It's not that Iowa was better without Stanzi.
It's that Stanzi was near 1:1 on tds to ints.
If he comes to Columbus and continued a season long trend,
Then Iowa is no where near in that game.
Instead Stanzi was hurt, a freshman had to start.
Ferentz simplified the playbook, took advantage of having a stud running back finally healthy, and coached a good game.
OSU entered that game not knowing what to expect, they faced a qb whom they had no reliable film on, they faced an Iowa running game that was recharged after gaining their best guy back from injury, these conditions typically signal a more conservative gameplan from JT.
Iowa wouldnt have been better without Stanzi for the long haul,
But given his turnover issues, they were better served in that one game.

gahs4ever KF team beat Indiana on a dropped TD pass at the end of the game, if this had been JT we would still be hearing it.

We wouldn't be hearing it from Tress, we as fans would have to hear about it from the Trolls that we all know and so graciously love!

I dont hate the Buckeyes , in fact unless they are playing Michigan I always root for them . The fans of Ohio state are the worst fans in all of college sports. Rude, obnoxious and very argumentative . Thats why I get on here and say some of the stuff I do ...Like O-Verrated, and my favorite "O-choke-iO" The fans are easy to fire up about the worthlessnuts.
Re: The Bye Week Buckeye Haters Ball
Sorry to tell you this, but that is every fan base in any sport. It's an Ohio sport site so obviously it's going to be worse with Buckeye fans here.boilermaker wrote:I dont hate the Buckeyes , in fact unless they are playing Michigan I always root for them . Re: The Bye Week Buckeye Haters Ball
Buckeye fans are no more rude, obnoxious,or argumentative than any other fans...that is a true statement....But They have a tendency to get caught up in the hype and perceptions worse than anyone...Just some food for thought...In the last 10 years....What players from OSU have went on and made a big impact in the NFL?...REMEMBER...starters,reserves,All-PROS....They come from everywhere in this league...Think of players who have been recruited by and played for the Vest...I will start it off with some kids who played defense there and have been or who are starters in the show...Hawk,Will Smith,Laurinitus,Gamble,Schlegal[sp],Malcolm Jenkins....????..help me here......Offensively.....O-Line....A couple of guys I believe..cant remember their names....Recievers...A.Gonzalez..Ginn....Michael Jenkins???..Hartsock.....RB's.....Anyone?.......QB's ....Smith...anyone else.....Is there a reason why there are not a whole lot more than this? The hype and perception wouldnt say so.Now granted, they are better off than most teams in the league they play in .But whats the deal here?..Help me if I have ommitted some players under Tressel who have made their mark in the League. Dont waste your time with QB'S...

Come on Charge...
I am a Cleveland Browns homer, and to me,he is the best coach at this time in the game...by a long shot..and I have been a Brown dawg for a long time...And if (I mean when) they beat the the U(I Mean) the Jets this week and then win the National Championship(I mean the Super Bowl)..he will be annointed,by me, a great man and coach......But to be somewhat serious charge....Dont you have even a small inkling that possibly comparing The Vest and his career at Youngstown St. and Ohio State just a tad different than competing with and trying to defeat the likes of the Pittsburgh Steelers,NE Patriots,The Colts,Saints and a few others....

Now what the hell does comparing the best coach in football with the late, great Wade have to do with anything?...Now if they get beat this week by the Jets,I am liable to lump him in with the vests of the world...dont want to have to do that..but I will.
