Oregon has claimed the DI Women's Track and Field National Championship for just the third time in program history, but the second time in the last three years under coach Robert Johnson. The Ducks scored 64 points just ahead of the leader after day 2 in Georgia, who scored 62.2 points. Following that in third place was USC with 43, Kentucky with 40 and Florida with 39. Oregon claimed national titles in just the 800m and the 4x400m, which the relay secured their title. What really allowed the Ducks to win at all again this year was depth! They scored at least one athlete, if not two in nearly every running event.
