Buckeyes up 10 at the break. Diop sat the last 2 1/2 minute of the half. Buckeyes were up 12 and held ball situation with around.39 to play and they call a foul on Dakich who was on the floor. Very strange foul call. Both FT’s cut the lead to 10.

Don't blow the #8 ranking and Big Ten lead with a loss at Penn State.

Tonight was an ugly one for the Buckeyes (22-6), as they fell on the road 79-56 at Penn State (19-9). The only two conference losses for OSU on the season have come against PSU (the other on a buzzer beater in Columbus), so the Buckeyes wanted payback in this one but looked like they never showed up to the arena, against a vastly improving Nittany Lion squad.

CJ Jackson led Ohio State with 13 points, followed by a low scoring game by Keita Bates-Diop with just 10 points. Tony Carr had yet another monster game for Penn State, as he dumped in 30 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Also with big production for PSU was Mike Watkins, who posted a 11 point and 10 rebound double-double.

Ohio State will look to get back on track when they travel to #22 Michigan on Sunday in their second game of the season (OSU won the earlier matchup).

Buckeyes had to have that game to maintain their one game lead over Sparty. Bucks now tied, own the tiebreaker but can ill afford to lose a game now. EVERYTHING IS ON THE LINE.

Shocking the beatdown they took in Happy Valley! Hopefully this won't hurt their confidence the rest of the way. Would not want to face the Nittany Kittens in the tournament.

Even if the BasketBucks stumble to another three or four loses, it will have been an unexpectedly strong season.

So much for the Big Ten title. Buckeyes fall to that team up north.

Two games left in the regular season, Tuesday against Rutgers and Friday at Indiana.

On senior night, the Buckeyes need to pull out a win to avoid a 3-game skid, and gain some momentum for the upcoming conference tournament, and that's what they did against Rutgers (13-17). Pulling out a big victory, 79-52, was the Buckeyes (23-7). CJ Jackson led all scorers with 18 points, followed by Kaleb Wesson with 14 and Kam Williams with 13. Jae'Sean Tate (10 rebounds; 9 points) was just one point shy of a double-double, as this one was never really close.

Corey Sanders led the Scarlet Knights with 12 points and DeShawn Freeman added 11.

OSU will wrap up their regular season on Friday when they travel to Indiana.

It took double overtime, but the Buckeyes finally ended their regular season on a winning note, winning at Indiana 80-78 in double overtime. At halftime, this game was tied at 33, and was tied at 63 at the end of regulation, and again at 70 at the end of overtime, finally, the Buckeyes pulled out a victory in double overtime.

Keita Bates-Diop had a great game, recording a double double (24 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists). Kam Williams scored 15, Jae'Sean Tate and Kaleb Wesson with 12 each, and CJ Jackson with 10. Leading Indiana in a tough loss was Robert Johnson with 17 points.

OSU will head to the Big Ten Tournament, with an opponent to be determined later.

Ohio State has earned the #2 seed in the Big Ten conference tournament, just behind Michigan State. As the second seed, OSU will receive a double bye in the tournament and submitted into the quarterfinal round, where they will play on Friday at 6:30. Their game will be against the winner of (10) Northwestern vs. (7) Penn State.
