Well the Buckeyes got a well earned 68-59 win today over the University of Indiana. That's a little better and more convincing than the win over Northwestern there last game. I hope that I'm wrong and that they may have turned the corner, and maybe be back on track again. I think that there next 2 games are away against Michigan and Wisconsin, I'm not sure that I think that they can win either one of those games at this stage of the season. Really hope that I am wrong, but I'm just not confident that it will be anything other than hit and miss throughout the rest of the season.

Another much needed 68-59 victory, this time over Indiana. Next up, Ohio State plays at Michigan on Tuesday.

Well the Buckeyes were able to survive and come out of Michigan tonight with a 61-58 win. They still didn't look that great at times tonight, but any win over Michigan, regardless of how pretty it was, is still a great win. At times during the game it was probably as physical as that little game that is played in late November every year. Neither team looked very good most of the game, but we can at least smile a little bit until they have to play at Wisconsin later this week.

The Buckeyes are at least finding ways to win now.

Next up, Ohio State plays at Wisconsin on Sunday.

Horrible....I think the Bucks went scoreless the final 4 1/2 of first half..while Whisky scored 16. It was 65-43 when Whisky emptied the bench.

OSU was a 7 seed according to most bracket folks.
Key word....was. imho

This Buckeye team is just not that talented, it's hard to explain how they were winning some of those games early this year against some pretty good teams. Now they will win there next game against poor Rutgers, and then Purdue will probably thrash them pretty good. It seems as if they take one step forward, and then two steps back. They did the same thing last year, win there first 12 or so games, then get into Big 10 play and look very average the rest of the season. There's just something about the chemistry on this team that is just not clicking, before very long people will start questioning the love affair with the coach, who got off to such a great start after succeeding Thad Matta. In losing the game today 70-57 to Wisconsin, I think it will just be hit and miss the rest of the season.

I just posted on the Bobby Knight topic that Ohio State is going to honor the 1960 National Championship Ohio State Buckeyes 0n March 5th, the last home game of the year against University of Illinois. Jerry Lucas, Bobby Knight, Mel Nowell and all the other players that were on that team.

It's not that the Buckeyes lack talent, rather they don't play together on the offensive end. They want to play too much one-on-one ball. Andre Wesson was the leading scorer for OSU today with 11 points.

They next host a vastly improved Rutgers team who (they've appeared in the top 25 twice this year already) on Wednesday.

Well the Buckeyes let a 20pt margin slip away in the 2nd half, down to only a 3pt lead with less than 30 seconds to go in the game, but were able to hold on and come away with a 72-66 win over Rutgers tonight. Any win at this point of the season, regardless of how convincing it might be at times, is still a big win.

Rutgers is a pretty solid team, likely a 7-seed in the NCAA Tourney.

Ohio State will Purdue next on Saturday at noon.

Maybe the first 12 games gave us all the wrong impression on how talented this team is. Especially with Carton out. If you look at the scholarship players you’ve got:(*)=injured/etc.

Seniors: A Wesson (3-star, 274 ovr)

Juniors: K Wesson (4-star, 75 ovr) Young (4-star, 80 ovr) Walker (3-star, 157 ovr) Jallow (3-star, 150 ovr)*

Sophomores: Ahrens (3-star, 250 ovr) Washington (3-star, 167 ovr) Muhammad (4-star, 80 ovr)

Freshman: Lidell (4-star, 44 ovr) Carton (4-star, 34 ovr)* Gaffney (4-star, 50 ovr) Diallo (3-star, 369 ovr)

0 5-stars, 6 4-stars with 3 being borderline 3-stars, and 6 3-stars. Your 3 highest rated recruits are freshman, and your highest rated recruit is only the 34th best kid in his class and has missed 5 games so far. That’s not national title level talent.

There wasn't much back and forth involved in this one, as the Buckeyes earned a 68-52 victory over visiting Purdue on Saturday afternoon. Kyle Young is starting to get back to his normal self, as he led OSU to victory with 16 points and 7 rebounds. Kaleb Wesson tallied 13 points and 8 rebounds for the Buckeyes. Leading the Boilermakers was Evan Boudreaux with 17 points.

Next up, Ohio State has a tough one on Thursday when they play at Iowa.

Where does Purdue stand in the Big 10 this year, sounds as if the Buckeyes must have played some pretty good defense today.

Purdue is 14-12 on the season and 7-8 in the B1G, one spot behind the Buckeyes. But they have shown potential this year, as they have blown out some of the big boys. One things a lot of people don't realize about the Big Ten is that the Big Ten will likely get 12 teams in the NCAA Tournament, out of 14 total!! That is absolutely insane!!!!

Wow that's a lot of teams! Guess we will see how good they are come tournament time. They better get at last one team if not two in the final four with that many. Bucks played pretty good defense today, but to be fair Purdue couldn't throw it in the ocean from a boat. At ranked Iowa and Mary next up. We will see if the roller coaster ride continues. :(

Neither one of those games will be easy to win, I would just about take a split and be happy. They have somewhat turned it around at least a little bit, but they are a long way from even being close to the team that we watched the first 11-12 games of the season.

The Buckeyes never gave up on the road at #20 Iowa tonight, but ultimately could not overcome the ambush by Luka Garza and the Iowa role players at the beginning of the game. Ultimately, the Hawkeyes picked up the 85-76 victory tonight. EJ Liddell led the way for the Buckeyes with a 17 point, 8 rebound performance. Luka Garza led all scorers with 24 points, while also tallying 6 rebounds and 4 assists.

Next up is another big one, as Ohio State will host #7 Maryland on Sunday.
