In front of the first sell out crowd of the season, Ohio State(22-5, 13-1 Big) started fast and never looked back in pounding Iowa(12-15, 3-11 Conf) Iowa got 18 points from Jack Nunge(Newburgh, IN),who came off of the bench to hit 6-12 from the field and all five of his free throws. In all the Iowa bench scored 28 points, with 7 players seeing action. For the game the Hawkeyes hit 42.4% of their shots.
For the shocking the college basketball world Buckeyes,six players came off the bench to score 22 points. It is so good to see at least some of the bench players getting some floor time and doing well, at times. Leading the way in the win was,Kaleb Wesson(Westerville,Ohio)with 18 points and 7 rebounds. C.J. Jackson(Charlotte, NC) and Keita Bates-Diop(Normal, Ill) each had 14 points. Diop had 8 boards and 4 assist. Micah Potter(Mentor,Ohio) led the bench unit with 10 points.
