OSU picked up the first 3 goals of the game, scoring 2 goals in the 1st period and 1 in the second period. St. Lawrence pulled a little closer by scoring in the 2nd period. But OSU got that goal back by scoring again in the 3rd period. Liz Schepers led the way for the Buckeyes with 2 goals.

The Buckeyes wrapped up their opening weekend, by earning a come back victory over a solid St. Lawrence team in Columbus, winning 3-2. The first goal didn't come until the 2nd period, when St. Lawrence scored first in the 5th minute. But the Buckeyes struck back with a goal just under 2 minutes later. SLU then came back and hit the board later in the period, by scoring and taking the lead in the 11th minute.

Then the 3rd period was all OSU, as they scored back-to-back in the 19th and 20th minutes, literally 8 seconds apart from each other. Andrea Braendli recorded 17 saves in goal for the Buckeyes to earn the win.

Next up, Ohio State will hit the road to play a 2-game series at St. Cloud State on Friday and Saturday.
