It wasn't the best score ever to open the season, but the Buckeyes did get a home victory to kick the year off. OSU defeated NC State by a final score of 194.025 - 193.800, on Saturday. The Buckeyes were led by Olivia Aepli who won three individual events on the day, including the vault, bars, and floor (tied with teammate Claire Gagliardi for first on floor). On the beam, Morgan Lowe and Ella Hodges tied for first place.

Next up, Ohio State opens up conference play, as they head to East Lansing to take on Michigan State next Saturday.

In their second match of the season, and first conference match, the Buckeyes fell on the road at Michigan State, 195.450 - 195.275 on Saturday afternoon. Olivia Aepil was the only Buckeye that competed in the all-around competition, where she finished 2nd with a score of 38.275.

Next up, Ohio State has a tri-meet next Saturday when they host Maryland and Central Michigan.

The Buckeyes hosted some great competition on Saturday in a tri-match, hosting #11 Maryland and #23 Central Michigan. The unranked Buckeyes pulled out the team victory with a score of 195.500 (season high). That will raise the Buckeye's season average, which was 194.675 entering the weekend.

Next up, Ohio State will host Minnesota next Saturday.

Although they scored a season-high on Sunday at #8 Michigan, the Buckeyes ultimately fell to the Wolverines, 197.350 - 195.900. The evening included many season and career highs for both team and individual scores for OSU, but they were never able to break through with an individual event win.

Next up, Ohio State will host Penn State on Friday night.

Even though the Buckeyes scored their lowest total in 4 matches, they still pulled out a 195.350 - 195.150 victory over visiting Penn State on Saturday night. Although it wasn't the best competition of the season for the Buckeyes, there were still a few career bests from OSU.

Next up is a tough competition, as Ohio State will travel to Toledo on Friday for the B1G Five meet, which includes five teams from the Big Ten competing against each other.

The beam was the highlight of the night for the Buckeyes, as they finished with the highest score of the group of five with a 49.150.
