OSU led by three goals at halftime, and extended that lead by two more by the end of the game. The first 20 minutes of the first half was a little back and forth where the Bearcats scored the first goal of the game as well. But near the end of the first half, OSU took over the game. Buckeye goalkeeper, Jill Rizzo recorded her 600th career save in this one, which is a new Ohio State record.

Sophie Baez led the Buckeyes with 4 points (2 goals, 2 assists). Liza Hernandez and Maura McGregor each tallied 3 goals for OSU. Leading the way for Cincy was Monica Borzillo with 7 points (4 goals, 3 assists).

Any time that any Sports news can be reported on or talked about so far in the year 2020 has to be good news as we've certainly lacked in that area so far. If you happen to be a Lacrosse fan, and especially a Women's Lacrosse fan, National Title Winner Kelsey Reed will be joining the Lady Buckeyes this coming fall. This should really be a shot in the arm for the Ladies as they have really struggled in the past few seasons. Kelsey has played in 49 games for James Madison, including 15 games during there run to the Title in 2018. She was a 2 time Captain while at James Madison, had 27 points ( 19 goals,8 assists ) in 2019, and had started the 2020 season with 6 goals in 6 games before the season was curtailed. If it said, I may have missed it, but I would assume that she will be a Senior and will have 1 remaining year to play for the Buckeyes.

The Lady Buckeyes Lacrosse Team today picked up a great addition to there team, in adding Mary Kate Bonanni, a Graduate Transfer from Cornell University. She was All-Ivy league in 2019 on defense, starting 52 games out of the 56 games during her career at Cornell. She should be a very welcome addition to the Women's Lacrosse team.

It's always a big disappointment when you lose one of your more valuable assistant coaches to another school. Today the Lady Buckeyes Offensive Cooridinator Kara Mupa, has landed the head coaching position at George Mason University. You can't really blame her for wanting to be a head coach, and put her own stamp on her own program. She had certainly turned the Lady Buckeyes offensive around while being at OSU. In college she was an outstanding player at Stony Brook, and led her team to the #1 ranked offense in Womens Lacross in the year 2018.

The Lady Buckeye Lacrosse team just announced earlier today, the hiring of Ex Buckeye Gabby Capuzzi as Associate Head Coach. Capuzzi was an incredibly accomplished Buckeye lacrosse player from 2009-2012. She had started her coaching career at OSU in 2014, before moving on to Navy, helping that program set records on both offense and defense during her time there. I would say without a doubt, this should be an immediate impact for the Buckeye program.

I just about didn't catch this one as the Lady Buckeye Lacrosse team has added a new assistant coach. Coach Bokker has hired Taylor VanThof to fill out her coaching staff. Coach VanThof was the 2019 Patriot League Midfielder of the year for Loyola, Md, and holds several records for the Greyhounds program after her career there. VanThof is a current Pro Lacrosse player herself, and should bring a ton of experience to her coaching position. VanThof was an assistant coach at UConn last year.
