Had to DVR this one and then watched it after I got home from the gym this morning. The Matadors (9-14, 4-3 Big West) was hot from the field, hitting 57/4% from the floor, while the Gauchos (13-8, 2-4 Conf)connected on a smooth 44.7%. So often mid-major teams seem to shoot better than the power fiver/seven schools. I think it's because they more then the bigger schools rely on fundamentals, while the bigger schools rely on how fast you can run and how high you can jump. Leading the Matadors in the win was, Lamine Diane (Dakar, Senegal) with 26 points and 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Terrell Gomez (Los Angeles, CA) had 22 points and 4 assists. Max Heidegger (Malibu, CA) led UC Santa Barbara with 30 points , including 4-8 from three. Amadou Sow (Bamako, Mali) had a double, double 14 points and 11 boards.
