The Gator Bowl people are admitting they are locked onto the Urban Bowl matchup if they can get it.

When the bowl is announced, I'll take the ? Off the title and add the poll!

I'm on record as saying I really hope the Bucks skip the bowls this year. I doubt that will happen however. Too much money at stake and I think they would actually be competitive in this match-up. But I just think 6-6 is not a record to go bowling with and be proud. You at least should have a winning record.

I think you should have to be guaranteed a winning record to get a bowl, problem is , too many bowls!

Plus the extra month of practice will do wonders for the team.

If the NCAA doesn't forbid it, then the Bucks should go.

Too many story lines not to make it tOSU vs. Florida. Luke will coach but it will be the Urban Bowl.

Fickell will coach the bowl game with the current staff.

He will stay on Urban's staff, and Urban will concentrate the next 5 weeks on recruiting and hiring his staff.

This will be the who cares bowl but all the "crazy" fans of both schools will buy a lot of tickets and make travel plans since they both travel well even if it's the "toilet bowl" so the NCAA will make lots of money on this one. Why else would they want two 6-6 teams facing each other ? I too, think you ought to have a winning record to accept bowl invitations but if the NCAA put in that stipulation then a lot of big name schools, dollars and TV revenue would have to be left out. Greed, greed, greed. It's to much of a business now and will continue to get worse in the future.

It will get a larger TV draw than the Orange Bowl, and be top 5 in TV ratings, but only if it's a OSU/UF matchup!

Gator Bowl has no tier system to follow for Big 10.
They've already stated that they will get the matchup if both schools make it that far.

It's either Gator Bowl or Insight Bowl vs Texas!

When it comes to ratings and financials, this match up makes sense.
Ohio State will most always get an interesting bid. I know some dont like it, but even in Ohio States worse year in a while, people will still watch.

OSU will be in a higher profile bowl that teams with better records in the B10, and for good reason!
