I really hope that you are right. It seems as if something new comes out about every hour. I would love to see this particular Buckeye team have the chance to play this fall. If it is moved to the spring, you can be assured that the Buckeyes will have numerous players opt out and not play.

After Buckeye J.J. Wolf upset World ranked Guido Pella to win his first major win, Wolf smacked around Roberto Carballes Baena for three sets to earn his second major win. J.J. Wolf is on to round three of the U.S. Open. His run may be coming to an end because he's got the Worlds #3 ranked Daniil Medvedev on deck, but upsets have happened before.

One of the schools impacted by the Big Ten and their decision not to play in the fall is the University of Michigan, where Ravens coach John Harbaugh's brother Jim is the head coach. John Harbaugh is rallying for the Big Ten to return. This is my position: I say, Free the Big Ten ! Let's go. Let's go play some football. Let's get Michigan and Ohio State and all those other great teams playing some amazing football.

Novak Djokovic, the clear-cut favorite for the men's singles title at the U.S. Open, is out of the competition via a default. Djokovic, the World No 1, accidentally hit a line judge in the neck when he hit the ball off his racket, after he had just lost a point in the opening set.

Houston Texan's cornerback and former Ohio State Buckeye Gareon Conley won't suit up for the Texan's opener against the reigning Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs. Conley was placed on the injured reserve on Monday with an ankle injury. He will miss at least the first three games. Multiple accounts indicate that Conley may need more time to recover.

Last season, nobody got to play in the NCAA Basketball Tournament. This season, there's a chance that everybody does. The ACC coaches plan to propose an all-inclusive 2021 NCAA tournament featuring every single Division 1 team. The idea to include every team is spearheaded by Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski, but the vote was unanimous among all the ACC head coaches.

Ten Midwestern Politicians have signed a letter addressed to Big Ten commissioner Kevin Warren on Tuesday asking the conference to "reconsider" it's decision to postpone the fall football season. The letter addressed to Warren and also sent to the Big Ten's Council of Presidents and Chancellors, was sent by Michigan House Speaker Lee Chatfield and also signed by Republican legislators from Iowa, Minnesota, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. The politicians say the Big Ten has been placed at a "disadvantage" as other conferences begin to play all across the Country.

Don't expect University of Oklahoma to release any of it's team coronavirus testing data for the rest of the year. When asked why the football teams testing data hadn't been released in the last two weeks, and if the team had any active Covid-19 cases, Head Coach Lincoln Riley said that the school didn't want to be at a "competitive disadvantage" by releasing that data during the season.

Both Dwayne Haskins and Joe Burrow we're already named starters for their respective teams, but they're now both team captains as well. Haskin's, Washington's first round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, took over the team's starting quarterback role midway through last season. Burrow who has yet to take a snap or play a down, was chosen as one of the Bengals seven captains by the vote of his teammates. Other former Buckeyes who were also chosen as team captains by their respective teams were, Vonn Bell of the Bengals, Nate Ebner of the Giants and Cameron Heyward of the Steelers.

Washington Nationals general manager Mike Rizzo was ejected from their 10-3 loss to the Atlanta Braves on Sunday afternoon. Umpire Joe West and his crew weren't happy with him. During the 7th inning, while Rizzo was watching from the upper deck of the stadium, the umpire could be heard on the broadcast saying, you're out, while pointing up toward the stands. He then asked for security to be called before cameras turned to Rizzo, who was seen standing alone and not wearing a mask. For some reason I'm having a little trouble in not believing that this was probably staged.

Caroline Wozniacki couldn't get out of bed the day after a three hour match, and her husband had to help her put her hair in a ponytail. That's what led Wozniacki, a former No 1 World Tennis player, who retired this year, to find out that she had Rheumatoid Arthritis. She had won her first Grand Slam title at the Australian Open early in 2018. She was ranked No 2 in the World Rankings 13 years into her career and at the age of 28. We just never know when something like that can curtail someone's career, and especially at that young age.
