They still playing the game ??
Apparently game is on, at least for the moment:

Ohio State will have both a new kicker and a new punter next season. Blake Haubeil confirmed Saturday that he will be moving on from the Buckeyes and entering the 2021 NFL draft rather than using his additional year of eligibility. Over the course of his Ohio State career, Haubeil made 28 of his 35 career field goal attempts and all 146 of his extra point attempts. He also served as the Buckeyes primary kickoff specialist for the past four seasons.

I guess i was a little suprised to see the game still all things considered. I was thinking maybe the Senior Bowl would have been more in aligned with what the NFLs Pro Bowl was doing. Glad to see some of the guys getting to suit up another time.

Ohio State Running Back Trey Sermon has officially declared for the 2021 NFL Draft. As expected, after one year in Columbus, the running back announced on Sunday that he is declaring for the 2021 NFL Draft. After a slow start early in the season, Sermon really came on strong against Michigan State and then ran for over 300 yards in the Big Ten Championship game against Northwestern. He then also ran for 193 yards in the Playoff semifinals against Clemson. In the Playoff Championship game against Alabama, he was injured on the first play of the game and was not able to return to the game.

Former Ohio State linebacker Anthony Schlegel will be joining Urban Meyer in Jacksonville as the Jaguars new Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. Schlegel worked under Meyer and the Buckeyes as an assistant strength and conditioning coach under Mickey Marotti. Schlegel played for the Buckeyes from 2003-05, and later went on to play in the NFL for two seasons with the New York Jets and the Cincinnati Bengals.

Ohio State Tight End Jeremy Ruckert is staying at Ohio State for another year instead of entering the 2021 NFL Draft.

Ohio State linebacker Baron Browning has announced that he is entering his name in the 2021 NFL Draft. That pretty much means that the Buckeyes will be losing their top four linebackers, Tuf Borland, Pete Werner, Justin Hilliard and Browning.

I agree with you about Jeremy Ruckert, he could probably be the best receiving tight end in the Big Ten, if only the Buckeyes would utilize their tight ends more so in the passing game. Anytime they go to him, he catches the ball. It's pretty much a given that Luke Farrell, the other starting tight end ( He's also a senior ) will declare for the 2021 draft, and not take advantage of the extra year of eligibility. Being that he is a senior, he doesn't have to declare until March 1st. Jake Hausmann, a very highly rated tight end out of the Cincinnati area has not given a hint one way or the other as to whether or not he will return. I think other than being behind Farrell and Ruckert in the pecking order, he has had to deal with a couple nagging injuries the past couple seasons. They also have Cade Stover ( A lot of potential ), Mitch Rossi, Joe Royer and incoming freshman Sam Hart.

This news is just as important as Ruckert, maybe even more so. Chris Olave has just announced that he is coming back next year. A lot of people were thinking the fact that Justin Fields was leaving, that Olave would also leave. Now if only a couple defensive lineman would also decide to come back.

Ohio State All-American Guard Wyatt Davis has announced that he will enter the 2021 NFL Draft. This was pretty much expected, as he should be one of the first interior lineman selected in the draft.

One of the outstanding defensive lineman that I was hoping would return, Tommy Togiai has declared for the 2021 NFL Draft. The 6'2", 300 lb Togiai is regarded within the Ohio State program as the strongest player on the team. He had a great game in the Playoff Semifinals win against Clemson, but was not able to play in the Playoff Finals against Alabama due to the Covid-10 pandemic. I'm hopeful that defensive lineman Haskell Garrett might return, but I'm not very confident that he will.

Ohio State defensive end Tyreke Smith just announced that he will return to the Buckeyes for his Senior season. Just like Tommy Togiai, Smith had a very good game in the Playoff Semifinal win over Clemson, and he just like Togiai did not get to play in the Playoff Finals against Alabama because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

A pair of Ohio State walk-ons have entered the transfer portal. Walk-on safety Kevin Dever and cornerback Darryl Sinclair both entered the portal on Monday. Dever and Sinclair were both honored during Ohio State's virtual on Senior day, indicating they would not be returning to the Buckeyes for the 2021 season, but can now use their additional year of eligibility from the NCAA at other schools where they might have an opportunity to earn actual playing time.

Thats a shocker. He would of been a 2nd round pick

Agree completely. Wants to get his degree, plus maybe put on a little weight and get a little stronger. With all of these highly rated young receivers that they already have on the team, plus the new ones coming in, I hope that they will be able to keep all of them happy when it comes to playing time. Sometimes the Transfer Portal looks pretty good to a lot of these kids, rather than not getting playing time for a couple years.

One of the downsides to the portal. We benefited from Sermon and fields. Just makes it so easy to get out. Work a little bit. Get better. Be the man. Make your case that that they cannot afford to have you off the field. Cant have enough athletes out there for me. Show you can take on the role of being choice #1 and be just as good at blocking and helping choice# 2.3.4 Showing your just as good without the ball as you are with the ball goes further in my eyes. Work n get better.
