The Buckeyes kick off their season this weekend, as they'll serve as hosts for the Ohio State Invitational, Friday through Monday. They'll then serve as one of the regional hosts for ITA Kickoff Weekend next weekend where they'll play Virginia in the first round, and then either Iowa or Texas Tech in either the championship match or the 3rd place match.

Next up, Ohio State will kick-off their dual season, when they host one of the campus sites of the ITA Kickoff Weekend. In their first match, they will play #22 Virginia on Friday at 11am. The winner will take on the winner of #RV Iowa vs. #24 Texas Tech, and the losers will take on each other. The team that wins both their matches over the weekend will move on to the Indoor National Championships later in the indoor season.

The Buckeyes began their dual season over the weekend, hosting their own regional in the ITA Kickoff Weekend. In their semifinal match-up on Friday morning, the Buckeyes had a dominant 4-0 victory over Middle Tennessee State. Then, in the championship match with a trip to the national tournament on the line, OSU was upset by #22 Virginia 4-2 to end the weekend.

Right now, the remainder of the Buckeye schedule hasn't been announced. I will update the schedule when it is released.

The Buckeyes played in two matches on Saturday, and earned two shutout victories, both over Michigan State. Although it was against a B1G foe, these matches did not count in the conference standings. In the morning match, OSU rolled to a 7-0 victory, then in their afternoon rematch, the Buckeyes again held to a shutout, winning 4-0.

Next up, Ohio State will begin conference play on Friday at Northwestern, then travel to Illinois on Sunday.

Playing in their first match of the season that actually counts in conference play, the Buckeyes dominated #25 Northwestern on the road, 4-0. OSU won all 3 doubles matches (1 more than they needed), to clinch the doubles point. They then proceeded to win the first 3 matches that finished in singles to play to take a 4-0 lead, and overall, the victory for the night.

Next up, Ohio State has another tough test, as they travel to #6 Illinois on Sunday.

Next up, Ohio State will have just one match this week, as they host Penn State on Saturday.
