A weird Southern Conference game if nothing else. Western Carolina 7-6, 0-4 Conf) led by them late in the first half only to see East Tennessee State (8-5, 4-1 Conf) score ten straight to lock it up. From there, things stayed tight until the few minutes of the game, when the Buccaneers pulled away for the eleven point win. Ledarrius Brewer (Meridian, MS) led the way in the win with 15 points and 3 boards. Ty Brewer (Meridian, MS) and David Sloan (Louisville, KY) both came off of the bench to score 12. For Western Carolina, Xavier Cork (Sulphur Springs, TX) led the Catamounts with 15 points.
