OSU started their season with a pair of non-conference matches against #11 Penn State in Columbus. On Friday, the Buckeyes fell 3-0 (25-20; 25-23; 25-22). But then they paid the favor right back with a 3-0 (25-22; 25-23; 25-17) sweep on Saturday.

Next up, Ohio State will compete in two more matches next weekend on the road at Penn State, on Friday and Saturday in State College.

After splitting their opening pair of matches with visiting, #11 Penn State last week, the Buckeyes got torched this weekend on the road in State College against that same #11 Penn State team. In the first match they fell 3-0 (25-16; 25-17; 25-21) on Friday. And then on Saturday, they also were shutout 3-0 (25-23; 25-20; 25-18).

Next up, Ohio State will host conference foe Lewis on Friday and Saturday for two matches.

The Buckeyes kicked off conference play by hosting #3 Lewis on Friday, and it didn't disappoint, as OSU stunned the visitors 3-1 (27-25; 25-16; 22-25; 25-23). Jacob Pasteur led the impressive attack for the Buckeyes, tallying 23.5 points, which included 20 kills, 5 digs, 2 aces and an assist. Michael Wright added 39 helpers on the night. Matin Lallemand put up 14.5 points for OSU as well. Ryan Coenen led the way for the Flyers with 23.5 points.

The two teams will go head-to-head again on Saturday afternoon in Columbus.

After a fairly convincing victory on Friday, the Buckeyes luck ran out, as they fell to Lewis 3-0 (25-23; 25-21; 25-11). Jacob Pasteur led the way for OSU again, this time with 12.5 points. For the winners, Tyler Mitchem tallied 14 points.

Next up, Ohio State will hit the road for two matches against McKendree, next Friday and Saturday.

The Buckeyes had some high hopes heading into the weekend, while traveling to McKendree, but those hopes were dashed quickly. OSU fell 3-0 on Friday night, and then there was little let up to the beatdown on Saturday night, as they lost again, 3-1.

Next Saturday and Sunday, Ohio State will host Loyola-Chicago in the Covelli Center.

OSU pulled out two surprising, and quite impressive victories over the weekend. They hosted #11 Loyola Chicago on Saturday and Sunday, and pulled out a 3-2 victory on Saturday. Then on Sunday, the Buckeyes put the beat down on the Rambles, winning 3-0.

Next up, Ohio State travels to Ball State on Saturday for a match, then they are off until March 11, when they host Ball State.

The Buckeyes are currently on a two week break, but before that break started, they got a big win on Saturday at Ball State, 3-2 (25-22; 23-25; 25-20; 19-25; 15-13). Leading the Buckeyes was Martin Lallemand with 23.5 points. Noah Platfoot added 56 assists. Leading the way for the Cardinals was Kaleb Jenness, tallying 18 points.

Next up, Ohio State will host one match against Ball State on the 11th.

Playing in Fort Wayne over the weekend, the Buckeyes started with a 3-1 (25-22; 22-25; 25-22; 25-21) victory on Friday, which looked to be very promising. But then on Saturday, OSU fell to PFW 3-1 (25-23; 25-22; 23-25; 25-20) to end the weekend in a deadlock.

Ohio State looks to get on track this weekend when they host Lindenwood on Friday and Saturday.

In the next to last weekend of the regular season, the Buckeyes earned a big-time series sweep. On Friday, they took down visiting Lindenwood 3-0 (25-18; 25-18; 27-25), and then earned another sweep over Lindenwood on Saturday 3-0 (25-16; 25-21; 25-18).

Next up, Ohio State wraps up their regular season this coming weekend as they play two matches at Quincy on Friday and Saturday.

Attempting to wrap up their regular season with another weekend sweep, the Buckeyes were very close to doing so. On Friday, they earned a 3-0 (25-20; 25-19; 25-18) shutout victory at Quincy. Then on Saturday to wrap up their regular season, they remained at Quincy but fell 3-2 (25-22; 19-25; 16-25; 25-21; 15-10).

Next up, Ohio State kicks off the MIVA Tournament, where they have earned the #5 seed, and will play at #4 seed Ball State on Saturday.

The season ended for the Buckeyes on Saturday night in Muncie, Indiana, as they fell to a solid Ball State team 3-1 (31-29; 25-19; 21-25; 28-26) in the MIVA Quarterfinals. Although OSU was able to push two of the sets to extra points, they were only able to grab 1 set victory.
