It was a great two days (Monday-Tuesday) for the Buckeyes in Palm City, Florida, as they competed in the Valspar Collegiate Invitational at the Floridian GC. In a field that was absolutely loaded, the Buckeyes finished 3rd out of 11 teams. In fact, it was so loaded that OSU was one of only two teams that weren't ranked in the top 36 in the country. OSU defeated three teams that were ranked in the top 10. Ohio State's team score was an impressive -14 for the tournament. #1 ranked Florida State won the tournament, finishing at -21, while #3 Wake Forest finished 2nd at -17. Maxwell Moldovan continued his incredible start to his Buckeye career, finishing tied for 2nd at -9.

Next up, Ohio State will return to the Midwest as they compete in the Boilermaker Invitational at the Kampen GC in West Lafayette, Indiana on April 10-11.

Sometimes golf is heartbreaking, and it turned out to be just that for the Buckeye Men this week at the NCAA Regional in Tallahassee. The top 5 teams from each regional site earn a bid to the National Championship, and the Buckeyes finished in 6th, just two shots from earning a spot in Scottsdale. As a team, the Buckeyes shot a -7, just two shots behind 5th place TCU, who shot a -9. Host, and #2 overall Florida State won the regional competition, shooting an incredible -34. Georgia, Georgia Tech and Liberty also qualified for the national championship out of this regional.

That wraps up a solid season for Ohio State, who looks to be strong again next year.
