Re: 2020-21 NCAA Championships

I've decided to combine all the national champions into one thread, since this year, all the championships have been moved to the winter/spring of 2021, rather than across the three different seasons. Division 3 has canceled their fall and winter championships, while Division 2 has canceled all their fall championships (except football). I'll update D2 national champions in the winter and spring, and D3 national champions for the spring, depending on whether they are actually played, but the top post of this thread will remain open for D1 sports.

The first national championship of the year was awarded in FBS Football, where Alabama claimed the national title over Ohio State with a 52-24 victory. Although some Alabama fans may claim this as their 23rd championship, the NCAA recognizes this as their 16th official national title in program history.

The Crimson Tide were powered by Heisman Trophy winning receiver, DeVonta Smith, QB Mac Jones, and coaching legend Nick Saban. Heading into the CFP Playoff, the Tide were 11-0 and had clinched the SEC title. Getting to the championship game, Alabama defeated Notre Dame in the Rose Bowl, 31-14. From there they defeated the Buckeyes in the championship game.
