The Buckeyes kicked off their season on Saturday, hosting rival Michigan. The Wolverines held an advantage for a large chunk of time when Sammi Woods scored on an unassisted goal. But, in the 67th minute of play, Emma Sears tied up the game for the Buckeyes off an assist from Kayla Fischer. The game then proceeded to be played into two overtimes, with neither team able to pull ahead, meaning the game ended in a tie. Hillary Beall tallied 15 saves for the Wolverines, while Bailey Kolinski put up 7 for the Buckeyes.

Next up, Ohio State will host Wisconsin on Thursday.

The Buckeyes went 1-1 over the weekend out on the East Coast end of the Big Ten. On Thursday, they picked up a nice 3-1 victory at Maryland. But then on Sunday, they fell 2-1 to a very good Rutgers squad.

Next up, Ohio State returns home, as they host Penn State on Saturday.

OSU picked up their second tie of the season over the weekend, as they deadlocked with #13 Penn State 2-2. The Buckeyes got on the board first, scoring in just the third minute of the game. 45 minutes later, the Nittany Lions tied it up in the 48th minute. OSU and PSU then both scored back-to-back rapidly, OSU scored in the 64th minute and PSU scored in the 66th minute. No goals were scored after, and the two ended in a tie.

Next up, Ohio State plays at Purdue on Thursday, and at Illinois on Sunday.

Another game another victory for the Buckeyes, as they traveled to East Lansing on Saturday and pulled out a 1-0 shutout victory, their third consecutive. Emma Sears scored the game's only goal, tallying an unassisted point in the 4th minute of play.

The Big Ten Tournament is up next, and the conference has been divided into two regions. Ohio State will be playing in the East Region and will be one of two host sites. The Buckeyes earned the #2 seed in this region, and will open up play against #7 seed Maryland on Thursday afternoon.

OSU is moving on to the next round. The Buckeyes cruised past Maryland in the first round of the B1G Tournament, 4-2 on Thursday afternoon in Columbus. The Terrapins actually put a goal on the board first in this one, as they scored in just the 8th minute of play, when Mikayla Dayes put up her second goal of the season. But then, the Buckeyes scored 4 unanswered goals that were plenty to pull out the victory, as Kayla Fischer scored her 5th of the season, Peyton McNamara scored her 4th and 5th goals, and Alyssa Baumbick scored her first tally of the season. Maryland was able to score a late goal to keep the score a little more respectable.

Next up, Ohio State will break playing in the 2nd Round of the B1G Tournament, as they will host Rutgers on Sunday.

After falling in the second round of the B1G Tournament, the Buckeye's season was close to being ended. But their regular season work was good enough to earn an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. They will be playing Stony Brook in the First Round tonight at 8pm.

The Buckeyes picked up their first NCAA Tournament win since 2016 on Wednesday, earning an utterly dominant victory against Stony Brook in the 1st Round, 5-1. OSU picked up the first two goals of the game, scoring in the 7th minute (Alyssa Baumbick, 2) and 11th minute (Emma Sears, 7). That was before Stony Brook got their only goal of the game in the 17th minute. The Scarlet and Gray wasted no time, getting that goal back in the 19th minute from Baumbick, her 2nd goal of the game. Kitty Jones-Black and Meghan Kammerdeiner each scored their first goals of the game for the Buckeyes to stretch their lead out and secure the victory.

Ohio State now advances to the 2nd Round of the NCAA Tournament, where they'll play #11 overall seed Santa Clara on Saturday at 8pm.
